Who is it recommended for

Before ordering, two things to know:

  • Side frames are not included: they must be chosen based on the motorcycle model and are a separate item.
  • The configuration depends on the motorcycle: asymmetric where the exhaust requires it, symmetric where the geometry allows it.

If you are looking for semi-rigid bags instead of aluminum, the WANDERER series uses the same frames and offers more lightness and no rigid edges in the event of a fall.

Assembly and Notes

  • The panniers require model-specific LOBOO side carriers, not included in the delivery.
  • Observe the maximum load per side carrier indicated by the motorcycle manufacturer in the owner's manual.
  • Check the fasteners before departure and re-check after the first 100-200 km.
  • The load must not cover the license plate and tail lights or protrude beyond the limits of the Highway Code.

Sulla maggior parte delle adventure il terminale di scarico sta a destra e ruba spazio. Le valigie simmetriche o sporgono, allargando la moto proprio dove serve passare stretti, o rinunciano a volume da entrambi i lati.

Le configurazioni asimmetriche 35+30 e 45+38 risolvono questo: la destra più stretta rientra attorno al terminale, la sinistra recupera il volume. Dove la geometria lo consente esistono anche le simmetriche 35+35, 37+37 e 45+45.

Ogni valigia ha la sua serratura a chiave integrata nel coperchio, con chiavi dedicate incluse. Non serve aggiungere lucchetti che poi si impigliano o si ghiacciano.

Sul valore reale conta poco — una valigia in alluminio non è una cassaforte — ma su un bar a metà viaggio, con casco e antipioggia dentro, è esattamente quello che serve.

Il nero anodizzato nasconde meglio i graffi superficiali e sta bene sulle moto scure. L'argento è il classico da spedizione: le abrasioni si notano meno perché il metallo sotto è dello stesso colore.

A listino l'argento costa circa settanta euro in meno a coppia, su ogni configurazione. Se non hai una preferenza estetica, è la scelta più conveniente.

I telai sono inclusi nel prezzo?

No, il prezzo è della coppia di valigie. I telai laterali si acquistano a parte perché sono specifici per modello e anno: LOBOO ne produce uno diverso per ogni moto. Nelle nostre pagine dedicate per marca trovi valigie e telaio già abbinati, così eviti di sbagliare codice.

Perché le configurazioni sono asimmetriche, tipo 45+38?

Perché sulla maggior parte delle adventure il terminale di scarico sta a destra. La valigia destra più stretta rientra attorno al terminale e mantiene la moto stretta nei passaggi; la sinistra recupera il volume perso. Dove la geometria della moto lo consente, come sulla R 1300 GS, esistono anche le simmetriche 37+37 e 45+45.

Che differenza c'è tra la finitura nera e quella argento?

Estetica e prezzo. Il nero anodizzato nasconde meglio i graffi superficiali, l'argento li mostra meno in profondità perché il metallo sotto è dello stesso colore. A listino l'argento costa circa settanta euro in meno a coppia, su ogni configurazione. La costruzione è identica.

Si montano sui telai GIVI o originali BMW?

No. L'aggancio delle PIKE TRACKER è disegnato sulle quote dei telai LOBOO e non si adatta a GIVI, SW-Motech o ai telai originali BMW. Non esistono adattatori: sono geometrie diverse. Se hai già un telaio di un'altra marca, valigie e telaio vanno sostituiti insieme.

Quale configurazione scelgo per la mia moto?

Dipende dal telaio disponibile per il tuo modello: non tutte le combinazioni si montano su tutte le moto. Le 35+30 sono la scelta più diffusa sulle medie cilindrate, le 45+38 e 45+45 sulle maxi enduro. Scrivici marca, modello e anno e ti indichiamo cosa monta la tua moto.

Sono impermeabili?

Il coperchio chiude su una guarnizione perimetrale che tiene la pioggia fuori nell'uso normale. LOBOO non dichiara un grado IP per queste valigie: se trasporti materiale delicato in viaggi lunghi sotto pioggia battente, una sacca stagna interna resta la scelta prudente.

Si possono chiudere a chiave?

Sì, ogni valigia ha la serratura integrata nel coperchio con le chiavi dedicate incluse. Tieni presente che una valigia in alluminio non è una cassaforte: protegge da chi passa e apre, non da un furto deciso.

Meglio queste o le semirigide WANDERER?

Usano gli stessi telai, quindi la scelta è solo sul tipo di valigia. Le PIKE TRACKER in alluminio si chiudono a chiave, reggono meglio l'appoggio in caduta e proteggono di più il contenuto. Le WANDERER semirigide pesano meno, non hanno spigoli rigidi e costano meno, ma non si chiudono a chiave.

I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
