The throttle stays where you leave it, and your right hand can rest. This mechanical cruise control for the BMW G 310 GS, G 310 HP, and G 310 R replaces the right handlebar end weight: as you open the throttle, tighten the ring with your little finger and the grip maintains the selected opening. No electronics, no wiring, and no modifications to the motorcycle.

How it works
The knurled ring screws onto the bar end weight and provides friction against throttle grip rotation. When tightened, it holds the throttle at the selected opening; when loosened, the grip moves freely and returns to its closed position by itself. It locks the throttle opening; it is not a speed regulator: the motorcycle slows down uphill, accelerates downhill, and does not disengage automatically when you brake. You can always open and close the throttle by hand, even when the device is engaged.
What you receive and how to install it
The package includes: Kaoko bar end weight with friction ring, thrust washer, and a 2 mm Allen key. Remove the original right bar end weight, install the Kaoko one, and adjust the ring resistance with the 2 mm key. The manufacturer's instructions can be downloaded from the product page.
All models are available in the Kaoko cruise control range.

I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
