Description Kickstand Plate for BMW R 1200 GS LC, R 1250 GS, and Adventure | version for standard or low seat

The LOBOO side stand plate widens the GS side stand foot and distributes the weight over a larger area, limiting sinking into mud, sand, gravel and sun-softened asphalt. CNC-machined aluminum.

Three codes, and the difference is not cosmetic

The side stand foot varies with the motorcycle and seat height. LOBOO's installation manuals are labeled as follows:

  • CJC081 — BMW R 1200 GS LC from 2013 to 2016, R 1200 GS LC from 2017 and R 1250 GS from 2019, all with standard seat height. On the two more recent generations, the manufacturer states that it is not compatible with the sport suspension.
  • CJC072 — BMW R 1200 GS LC Adventure from 2014 and R 1250 GS Adventure from 2019, with standard seat height.
  • CJC088 — BMW R 1250 GS Adventure with low seat height. It is the only one of the three designed for the lowered version.

So standard seat height is not valid for all models: if your Adventure has the low seat, the correct code is CJC088, not either of the other two.

An exclusion that applies to all three

These fit only LC models, meaning liquid-cooled models, from 2013 onward. Air- and oil-cooled GS models up to 2012 are excluded.

If you are not sure what your motorcycle is equipped with, check the registration document or contact us: it is a two-minute check that helps avoid a return.

What the manuals state

  • Identical package for all three codes: base, bracket, 3 M5×10 screws, 3 mm Allen key and threadlocker
  • Tightening torque: 4 N·m for CJC081 and CJC072, 5 N·m for CJC088
  • The original foot is not removed: it remains clamped between the support base and the upper bracket
  • Do not fully tighten immediately: make the adjustments first, then tighten in sequence and check periodically

No drilling or modifications: it can be removed while leaving the motorcycle in its original condition.

Increasing the contact area reduces the risk of sinking, but does not eliminate it: assessing the surface where you park remains your responsibility.

Who is it recommended for

It's one of the most sensible accessories for a GS, especially if:

  • You travel with loaded panniers or a passenger: the weight at rest increases, and with it the pressure on the side stand foot.
  • You ride on gravel roads and stop wherever you happen to be, without being able to choose a solid footing.
  • You often park outdoors in summer, on asphalt softened by the sun.

CJC081 fits the R 1200 GS LC and R 1250 GS. CJC072 is for the Adventure models. CJC088 is specifically for the R 1250 GS Adventure in HP trim, which has a different foot. Choosing one at random means misaligned holes and an uneven fit.

CNC-machined aluminum, approximately 150 g, with a low profile that does not interfere with the stand folding closed.

I have the R 1250 GS Adventure with a low seat: which part number do I need?

The CJC088. It’s the only one of the three that the manufacturer specifies for the low seat height: the manual is specifically titled “BMW R1250GS Adventure (low seat height).” The CJC072 is suitable for the standard seat height on the same motorcycle. On the lowered version, the stand is shorter and the foot has a different shape.

I have the sports suspension: can I install it?

The CJC081 manual states that on the R 1200 GS LC from 2017 onward and the R 1250 GS from 2019 onward, the plate is not compatible with the Sport suspension. This is not a precautionary recommendation; it is an explicit exclusion. If your GS has that setup, contact us before ordering and we’ll check it together.

I have a 2010 R 1200 GS—is it suitable?

No. All three codes are valid only for liquid-cooled LC models from 2013 onward. The air- and oil-cooled R 1200 GS models up to 2012 have a different stand. It’s a generational difference, not a registration-year difference: if you’re unsure, send us the VIN or a photo of the stand.

Which of the two variants should I choose?

The R1200/1250GS variant (code CJC081) fits the R 1200 GS and R 1250 GS. The R1250G ADV HP variant (code CJC088) is intended for the R 1250 GS Adventure in HP trim, which uses a different kickstand foot. If you are unsure, contact us with the year and trim level.

My GS has either the sport suspension or the low seat—is that okay anyway?

No, and the manufacturer states this explicitly in the manual. The extension is intended for motorcycles with standard seat height and is not compatible with the sport suspension, nor with R 1200 GS models from 2017 onward or R 1250 GS models from 2019 onward. With those configurations, the stand has a different length and angle.

There is also a third exclusion: LC models only, meaning liquid-cooled models, so R 1200 GS models from 2013 onward. The air- and oil-cooled GS models up to 2012 are not included.

If you have any doubts, write to us with the year, model, and configuration: we would rather tell you no before the order than handle a return afterward.

Is it also compatible with the R 1300 GS?

No. The R 1300 GS has a redesigned side stand and requires the dedicated CJC132 mounting plate, available on a separate page.

What tools are needed, and to what torque should it be tightened?

The package contains the base, bracket, three M5×10 screws, a 3 mm Allen key, and threadlocker, identical for all three codes. The torque, however, differs: 4 N·m for CJC081 and CJC072, and 5 N·m for CJC088. These are low values, and with M5 screws they are easily exceeded by hand: a torque wrench is required.

Is it an original LOBOO product?

Yes: we sell exclusively original LOBOO products, new and in the packaging provided by the manufacturer, with official documentation.

Is the product covered by a warranty?

Yes: all LOBOO products sold on Endurrad are covered by the 24-month statutory consumer warranty. In the event of a lack of conformity, we will handle the claim with the manufacturer.
