Ducati Diavel and XDiavel: specifications, generations, compatible accessories

A motorcycle bought with your eyes, and a catalog designed to keep it that way
The Diavel is Ducati's power cruiser: 160 horsepower, a 240 rear tire and a design worth half the price. That is why our catalog is all Eazi-Grip and entirely focused on preservation: clear films, traction pads and dashboard protection. On a motorcycle bought for its looks, it is exactly the kind of spending that makes sense.

Who it is recommended for
It is the right motorcycle if
- You want visual presence and acceleration, not versatility
- You need a low seat: 790 mm on the V4, even lower on the earlier models
- You ride mainly on good asphalt, over short or medium-length stages
- You care about how it holds up over time: this is the kind of motorcycle that is resold based on appearance
- You accept a limited accessories catalog, because it is not a motorcycle to kit out
Look elsewhere if
- You travel with luggage: we have neither panniers nor racks for these models
- You are looking for crash protection: it is not in the catalog
- You ride many miles two-up: the passenger seat is a compromise
- You are interested in rough terrain: the 240 rear tire and setup say otherwise
- You confuse Diavel and XDiavel: they are two different motorcycles and their codes are not interchangeable
In two words: it is a motorcycle to look at and ride on weekends, not to load up. If you need the same displacement with a touring attitude, the Multistrada V4 uses the same V4 Granturismo engine with a focus on covering miles.
The generations, and why they matter
| Diavel, 2011-2018 | First series with the 1,198 cc Testastretta 11° engine. It has dedicated tank pads, bodywork film and instrument protection. |
|---|---|
| Diavel 1260 and 1260S, 2019-2022 | 1,262 cc DVT engine and revised bodywork. The tank shape changes, so the pads change too. |
| Diavel V4, from 2023 | 168-hp four-cylinder V4 Granturismo. This is the generation with the most catalog options: pads, tank film and bodywork film. |
| XDiavel, 2016-2022 | Cruiser variant with forward-set footpegs and belt drive. It has its own instrument protection. |
| XDiavel V4, from 2025 | The latest addition, with dedicated tank pads. |
What to fit, in order of priority
The rule here is simple: identify the generation first, then choose. The shapes are laser-cut and do not fit from one model to another.
- 1
Tank traction pads, Diavel V4They improve grip for the knees and protect the sides of the tank from jacket zippers, which are the first cause of damage on a well-kept motorcycle. - 2
Protective tank film, Diavel V4Transparent and laser-cut: it goes under the anti-slip decals and keeps the paint intact. - 3
Protective bodywork film, Diavel V4Covers the painted areas most exposed to debris. It can be removed without leaving residue, which matters when reselling. - 4
Tank decals, XDiavel V4 from 2025Dedicated part number for the latest model: the shape differs from that of the Diavel V4, despite sharing the same engine. - 5
Tank decals, Diavel 1260 and 1260SFor model years 2019-2022. For the first series, there is instead the Diavel 2011-2018 part number. - 6
Instrument protectionThis is the part number for the Diavel 2011-2018; the XDiavel 2016-2022 has its own. The picture is completed by the bodywork film for the first series.

Frequently asked questions
Do Diavel and XDiavel use the same accessories?
No. They are two different bikes in terms of ergonomics and bodywork, and the Eazi-Grip shapes are laser-cut for each one. The XDiavel has its own instrument protection and, from 2025, tank decals dedicated to the V4 version.
Do you have crash protection for the Diavel?
No, these models are not in the catalog. What we carry protects the paint and the instrument panel, which is the most sensible expense on a bike bought for its looks.
Are the film and decals used together?
Yes, and this is the correct combination: first apply the transparent film to the tank, then the anti-slip decals on top. The first protects the paint, while the second provide knee grip.
Do the Diavel V4 decals fit the XDiavel V4?
No: although they share the same engine, the two bikes have different tanks. There is a dedicated part number for the XDiavel V4 from 2025.
I have a Diavel 1260: can I find a bodywork film?
For that catalog generation, tank decals are available. The available bodywork films cover the Diavel 2011-2018 and the Diavel V4. Write to us and we'll check with the supplier whether a part number has been released for the 1260.
