This is the base that allows you to mount a top box on the rear luggage rack of the F GS Adventure models, which have different geometry from the standard GS models and require a dedicated part number.

Check the version and year

The manual lists the BMW F 850 GS Adventure from 2019 and the BMW F 900 GS Adventure from 2025. For the standard versions, F 750 GS and F 850 GS, you need the JP031W plate, which has its own page: the two are not interchangeable.

How it is secured

The system differs from that of the standard sibling: here, the plate rests on two clamps that tighten around the 18 mm tubes of the original luggage rack, plus two dedicated side brackets, one right and one left. The plate is secured on top with two M6×16 screws and four M6×40 screws.

The manufacturer specifies not to fully tighten the screws during assembly: first complete all adjustments, then apply the torque in sequence, 12 N·m to all M6 screws. The assembly wrench is included, and the manual is available in eight languages, including Italian.

The manual calls for a removal step in the original luggage-rack area before installation, but does not identify the parts involved: if you want to know exactly what needs to be removed from your motorcycle, write to us and we will send you the illustrated procedure.

Which top boxes can you mount

The manual assigns the plate to the PIKE TRACKER, TIBET and CONQUEROR series. The top box is not included: this page concerns the plate only. LOBOO aluminum top boxes can only be mounted on LOBOO plates and luggage racks, not on mounts from other brands.

The rear load has a limit

LOBOO does not specify its own maximum load for the plate: the limit indicated by BMW in the owner's manual for the rear subframe applies, and includes the plate, top box and contents. Recheck the fasteners after the first 100–200 km and make sure the top box does not cover the license plate or rear lights.

The plate material is not specified by any LOBOO source, including the manual.

Geometry designed for Adventure versions

The luggage rack on the F 850 GS ADV and F 900 GS ADV has different mounting points and dimensions from the standard GS models. The JP032W is designed for this geometry: using the wrong model’s plate means misaligned holes and a mounting surface that does not sit flush.

It is secured with clamps onto the original luggage rack’s 18 mm tubes, using two dedicated side brackets. The manual requires preliminary removal in the luggage rack area.

This is the JP032W, and the manual specifies it for the F 850 GS Adventure from 2019 and the F 900 GS Adventure from 2025. The Adventure models have a luggage rack with mounting points that differ from those on the standard GS models, so a plate designed for the regular F 850 GS will not align here.

If your motorcycle is not an Adventure, the correct plate is the JP031W, which you can find on a separate page.

What do you mount on it: compatible top cases

The plate is the interface between the motorcycle and the top case: on its own, it is of no use, but without it, no LOBOO top case can be attached. The 45-liter PIKE TRACKER P45T fits onto this plate, available in matte black or glossy silver.

The top case is purchased separately, leaving you free to choose later: install the plate today and decide on the capacity once you know how much luggage you really carry.

A loaded top case sits much higher and farther back than the side cases. Every kilogram up there lightens the front end and amplifies the rear's movements: that's why a motorcycle loaded evenly on the sides remains neutral, while with ten kilograms in the top case it becomes nervous on the highway.

This isn't an argument against a top case, but for loading it properly: put light, bulky items inside, such as a spare helmet, rain gear, and a change of clothes. Keep the tools and actual weight low down in the side cases.

Always observe the maximum load BMW specifies for the rear subframe: it includes the mounting plate, top case, and contents.

What’s the difference compared with the plate for the F 750 and F 850 GS?

Replace the rear luggage rack. The JP032W is designed for the Adventure versions, the F 850 GS ADV from 2019 onward, and the F 900 GS ADV from 2025 onward, and is secured with two clamps on the 18 mm tubes plus two dedicated side brackets.

The JP031W, for the standard GS models, instead uses the subframe mounting points and requires no removal. The two mounting systems are different, not just the dimensions.

Which LOBOO top cases can I mount?

The manual lists the plate for the PIKE TRACKER, TIBET, and CONQUEROR series, each available in black or silver. The top case is not included and must be purchased separately.
