Description GPS Navigator Mount for Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro | 90 mm aluminum crossbar, Ø 12 or 22 mm

On the Tiger 1200 GT Pro, the space in front of the rider is already occupied: central instruments, controls, and a fully equipped handlebar. This crossbar creates a dedicated mounting point — 90 mm of clearance above the dashboard — for mounting a GPS navigator, smartphone, or dashcam without taking space away from the controls.

Why a crossbar instead of a handlebar mount

  • The display does not turn with the steering. The mount is attached to the motorcycle, not the handlebar: what you are looking at stays still even when maneuvering.
  • Handlebar kept clear. Heated grips, controls, and other accessories retain their space.
  • Just two screws, no drilling. The brackets attach to the existing mounting points above the instruments. Reversible installation.
  • Sandblasted anodized aluminum. A matte finish that does not reflect sunlight into your eyes and resists abrasion better than paint.

How to choose the diameter

The two variants each contain one bar, not both. Choose the diameter accepted by the clamp of the mount you already own: many GPS navigator mounts are designed for 12 mm bars, while those designed for handlebars clamp onto 22 mm bars. This information is printed on the packaging or included in the instructions for your mount.

Installation

Two steps. Remove the two screws above the instruments, position the brackets with the crossbar, and reinstall them using the two M5×16 screws at 5 N·m and the supplied washers. The 3 mm wrench is included. The manual specifies not to fully tighten the screws immediately: complete the positioning first, then tighten to the specified value and check periodically.

Why choose it
  • "D-Shape" Non-Slip Design: Unlike standard round bars which can spin under the weight of a heavy phone, our D-shaped crossbar physically prevents the clamp from rotating. Stability as

Who is it recommended for

How does it work, in detail?

Ninety millimeters where there was no space before

Ninety millimeters where there was no space before

On the Tiger 1200 GT Pro, the handlebar is already crowded and the instrumentation occupies the center. The crossbar creates a dedicated mounting point above the dashboard, securely attached to the motorcycle: the display does not turn with the steering, and the controls remain where they are.

Two screws, no drilling

Two screws, no drilling

The bracket is designed based on the motorcycle’s original data: it attaches to the existing mounting points with two M5×16 screws at 5 N·m. The 3 mm Allen key is included; nothing else is needed, and the modification is reversible.

12 or 22 mm: a single bar, yours

Each variant contains only one bar, not both. Choose the diameter accepted by your mount’s clamp: many navigation devices are designed for 12 mm bars, while those designed for handlebars clamp onto 22 mm. The size is listed on the packaging of the mount you already own.

D-profile: the clamp doesn’t rotate

D-profile: the clamp doesn’t rotate

The ends of the bar are not cylindrical but have a D-shaped cross-section. With a heavy phone mounted on top, it’s the difference between a display that stays where you left it and one that tilts at the first bump. The body is made of CNC-machined aluminum alloy.

Overall width 178 mm, height 42 mm, usable bar 90 mm. The kit weighs 57 g in the 12 mm version and 112 g in the 22 mm version, made of aluminum alloy with sandblasted anodized finish.

FAQs

For more information, please see our FAQ.

Are both bars, the 12 mm and the 22 mm, included?

No. The manual’s parts list includes only one crossbar: each variant contains the diameter you choose, not both. If you also need the other size, it is a separate item.

How do I know whether I need 12 or 22 mm?

Check the mount you already have, not the motorcycle: the diameter is the size its clamp accepts, and it is indicated on the packaging or in the instructions. Many navigation mounts are designed for 12 mm bars, while those designed for handlebars clamp onto 22 mm.

Is the smartphone holder included?

No. The package contains the two brackets, the crossbar, the hardware, and the tools. The smartphone holder or GPS device must be purchased separately; they appear in the photos only to show how the crossbar is used.

Do I need to drill or modify the motorcycle?

No. The brackets attach to the existing mounting points above the instrument panel. The installation is reversible: removing the mount restores the motorcycle exactly to its original condition.

What is included in the package, and what tools are needed?

Two brackets, one crossbar in the selected diameter, two M5×16 screws, two M5 washers, a 3 mm hex key, and a mounting tool. Nothing else is needed.

How tight should the screws be?

5 N·m on the two M5×16 screws. The manual specifies not to fully tighten them immediately: first complete the positioning, then tighten to the indicated value and periodically recheck.

How much space do I have on the crossbar?

90 mm of usable bar length, across an overall width of 178 mm. That is enough for a single mount; for two side-by-side devices, very compact clamps are required.

Can the clamp rotate due to vibrations?

The ends of the bar have a D-shaped rather than cylindrical cross-section: once tightened, the clamp cannot rotate around the axis. It’s the detail that matters when a heavy phone is mounted on top.

How much does it weigh?

57 g in the version with a 12 mm bar and 112 g in the 22 mm version. The entire difference is due to the bar, which contains more material in the thicker version.

Does it cover the original instrumentation?

No: the crossbar passes above the display, which remains readable. However, with a very bulky device, it is still advisable to check the viewing angle before securing the final position.
