Description GPS navigator mount for Ducati Desert X | 90 mm high aluminum crossbar, anti-rotation
On the Desert X, you look at the map while the terrain changes beneath the wheels, and lowering your gaze to the handlebars is the moment you stop watching your line. This crossbar positions the display up high, in front of the windscreen, on a point securely attached to the motorcycle.
Why a high crossbar
- The display stays within your field of vision. The navigator rises to eye level instead of sitting below, next to the grips.
- It does not rotate with the steering. The mount is fixed to the windscreen, not the handlebars: what you read stays still even when manoeuvring.
- Anti-rotation D-shaped profile. The ends of the bar are not cylindrical: once tightened, the clamp cannot rotate around the shaft under the weight of a navigator.
- No drilling. The brackets attach to the existing anchor points. Reversible installation.

How to choose the diameter
Each variant contains one bar, not both sizes. Choose the diameter accepted by the clamp on the mount you already own: many navigator mounts are designed for 12 mm bars, while those designed for handlebars clamp onto 22 mm. The information is on the packaging or in your mount’s instructions.

Premium upgrade on my BMW GS
I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
