On the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R, the problem isn’t choosing auxiliary lights; it’s finding where to mount them: the front fairing leaves few options, and the improvised solution is universal brackets and vibrating zip ties that throw the beam out of alignment at the first rough stretch of road.

The LOBOO CDZJ251 mount provides a rigid, OEM-style anchoring point, developed—as the manufacturer states—using the vehicle’s data. The auxiliary lights mount under the headlight assembly, which is the position offering the best projection angle for nighttime riding.

The part is made of SUS304 stainless steel with a black, sandblasted electrostatic granular finish that does not chip like traditional paint. It weighs 515 g and is approximately 429 mm wide, and it is swiveling: the angle can be adjusted after installation without bending anything.

LOBOO states that installation is non-destructive, requiring no drilling or cutting of the motorcycle, and explicitly limits compatibility to the Super Adventure R from 2022 onward: the S version is not among the listed models.

Is it also compatible with the 1290 Super Adventure S?

The manufacturer indicates only the R version and specifies that the mount is designed for it. We do not claim compatibility with the S: if you have one, contact us before ordering and we’ll check together.

Where are the spotlights installed?

Under the light assembly. LOBOO identifies this position as having the best projection angle for night riding, and the mount is designed to hold them there securely.

Do you need to drill or modify the motorcycle?

No. LOBOO states that installation is non-destructive, with no drilling or cutting, and was developed using the vehicle’s original data. Removing the mount returns the motorcycle to its stock configuration.

Can the beam angle be adjusted?

Yes: the mount swivels, so you can adjust the orientation after installation without bending the brackets. It’s best to do this in the dark and with the motorcycle loaded as you actually use it.

Is the installation reversible?

Yes: no drilling or cutting of the motorcycle. If you sell the KTM or want to return it to its original configuration, simply remove the mount.

Can it withstand off-road vibrations?

That’s why it exists: a rigid, dedicated mount instead of a universal bracket that rotates on the tube. However, the manufacturer doesn’t publish the tightening torques, so check the tightness again after your first few rides on dirt roads.
