Dedicated bracket for the installation of auxiliary lights, for KTM 1290 Super Adventure R.

All you need to know before ordering

Description LOBOO CDZJ251 Auxiliary Light Bracket for KTM 1290 Super Adventure R | SUS304 stainless steel, 515 g

On the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R, the problem isn’t choosing auxiliary lights; it’s finding where to mount them: the front fairing leaves few options, and the improvised solution is universal brackets and vibrating zip ties that throw the beam out of alignment at the first rough stretch of road.

The LOBOO CDZJ251 mount provides a rigid, OEM-style anchoring point, developed—as the manufacturer states—using the vehicle’s data. The auxiliary lights mount under the headlight assembly, which is the position offering the best projection angle for nighttime riding.

The part is made of SUS304 stainless steel with a black, sandblasted electrostatic granular finish that does not chip like traditional paint. It weighs 515 g and is approximately 429 mm wide, and it is swiveling: the angle can be adjusted after installation without bending anything.

LOBOO states that installation is non-destructive, requiring no drilling or cutting of the motorcycle, and explicitly limits compatibility to the Super Adventure R from 2022 onward: the S version is not among the listed models.

Auxiliary lights and wiring are not included. The mount is the foundation; choose the lights separately based on the lumen output you need.

Why choose it
  • Solves a series problem: the 1290 frame does not offer suitable points for auxiliary lights, and universal brackets vibrate and rotate.
  • SUS304 stainless steel: corrosion-resistant, with an electrostatic sandblasted black granulated finish that does not chip.
  • Non-destructive installation: no drilling, no cutting, no permanent modifications.
  • Protected position: the lights remain effective but protected, with an original style aesthetic.
Who is it recommended for

You need this if with your KTM 1290 Super Adventure R:

  • You ride at night or at dawn and the stock headlights are not enough on unlit roads
  • You have already tried universal brackets and they came out of alignment on your first off-road trip
  • You want to keep your bike intact, without holes or permanent modifications

The spotlights are not included: the bracket is the base, the lights are chosen separately according to the desired lumens.

Documents and manufacturer

Assembly and notes

  • Non-destructive installation on the points provided by the support: no drilling or cutting on the motorcycle.
  • The auxiliary lights must be oriented so as not to dazzle: their use on public roads is subject to the rules of the Highway Code.
  • Re-check the tightening after the first 100-200 km, especially with off-road use.
  • Spotlights and wiring not included.

How does it work, in detail?

Solve the problem that the 1290 has as standard

Solve the problem that the 1290 has as standard

On the Super Adventure R, the front fairing leaves few options for mounting auxiliary lights, and those who try end up with universal brackets and zip ties that vibrate and rotate.

The CDZJ251 provides a rigid, OEM-style mounting point, developed by LOBOO based on the vehicle’s data.

Move the spotlights under the headlight assembly

Move the spotlights under the headlight assembly

LOBOO indicates this position as the one with the best projection angle for night riding: the beam reaches far without being obstructed by the fairing.

The lights shown in the images are not included and are for illustrative purposes only.

Correct the angle after installation

Correct the angle after installation

The mount swivels: you can adjust the spotlight’s direction after installation is complete, without bending brackets or improvising with spacers.

This check should be done in the dark, with the motorcycle loaded as you actually use it, and repeated if you change the spotlights.

SUS304 stainless steel, not painted steel

SUS304 stainless steel, not painted steel

LOBOO specifies SUS304 stainless steel with a black electrostatically sandblasted grain finish that does not chip like traditional paint.

515 grams for a width of approximately 429 mm: on a component exposed to salt, rain, and stones, the material matters more than the grams saved.

Check the version: only the R

Check the version: only the R

LOBOO is explicit on this point: the support is designed for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R from 2022 onward. The S version is not among the models specified by the manufacturer.

FAQs

For more information, please see our FAQ.

Which motorcycle is the CDZJ251 compatible with?

With the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R from 2022 onward. LOBOO is explicit: the mount is designed specifically for the R version and uses the vehicle’s original data.

Is it also compatible with the 1290 Super Adventure S?

The manufacturer indicates only the R version and specifies that the mount is designed for it. We do not claim compatibility with the S: if you have one, contact us before ordering and we’ll check together.

Where are the spotlights installed?

Under the light assembly. LOBOO identifies this position as having the best projection angle for night riding, and the mount is designed to hold them there securely.

Do you need to drill or modify the motorcycle?

No. LOBOO states that installation is non-destructive, with no drilling or cutting, and was developed using the vehicle’s original data. Removing the mount returns the motorcycle to its stock configuration.

Can the beam angle be adjusted?

Yes: the mount swivels, so you can adjust the orientation after installation without bending the brackets. It’s best to do this in the dark and with the motorcycle loaded as you actually use it.

Is the installation reversible?

Yes: no drilling or cutting of the motorcycle. If you sell the KTM or want to return it to its original configuration, simply remove the mount.

Can it withstand off-road vibrations?

That’s why it exists: a rigid, dedicated mount instead of a universal bracket that rotates on the tube. However, the manufacturer doesn’t publish the tightening torques, so check the tightness again after your first few rides on dirt roads.

What material is it made of?

SUS304 stainless steel, with a black sandblasted granular electrostatic finish that does not chip like traditional paint. It is not aluminum: if you find anything else indicated, it does not come from LOBOO documentation.

What finish does it have, and how does it hold up over time?

Black electrostatically applied sandblasted textured finish, which LOBOO describes as more durable than traditional paint because it does not chip. The SUS304 stainless steel underneath the finish does not rust.

How much does it weigh, and how wide is it?

515 g, equivalent to 1.14 lbs, for a width of approximately 429 mm. These are the specifications stated by LOBOO on the official CDZJ251 product page.

What kind of spotlights can I install on it?

LOBOO mentions fog or driving lights, without publishing a list of approved models or the mounting diameter. Before ordering, check the mount and dimensions of the light you have chosen; if you have any questions, contact us.

What’s in the package?

A bracket, with the mounting hardware included. No additional purchases are needed to attach it to the motorcycle: only the lights and their wiring are not included.

Are the spotlights included in the price?

Note: only the mounting bracket is included. Auxiliary spotlights, wiring, and any control units must be selected and purchased separately. They are shown in the images for illustrative purposes.
