Description DM and D2 auxiliary light mounts for KTM 500 EXC and Husqvarna FE 501s

Code LAH0411200 — DENALI code LAH.04.11200

Specific mount that allows you to install DENALI DM and D2 auxiliary lights in the optimal position on KTM 500 EXC and Husqvarna FE 501s. The kit includes a pair of powder-coated steel brackets with an M8 mounting hole, a bracket for relocating the original horn, and all the necessary hardware.

Only for the compact lights in the range: DENALI lists it for the DM and D2. It has only been confirmed on these two motorcycles: it has not been tested on other KTM EXC or Husqvarna FE models.

Two enduro precautions. Vibrations, jumps, and falls can loosen the hardware: use medium-strength threadlocker and check the tightness frequently. Also check the available electrical capacity, because these motorcycles' electrical systems are sized for little more than the original headlight.

Vibrations, jumps, and falls are normal on these bikes: use medium-strength threadlocker on all fasteners and check the tightness much more frequently than the 50 km specified as the first interval.

Above all, check the electrical capacity: on an enduro bike, the system is designed for little more than the original headlight, so a light with low power consumption is the sensible choice.

The mount attaches to the points already provided by the manufacturer, with the necessary hardware included. Nothing needs to be drilled or modified: if you remove everything for a race, the bike returns to its original condition.

It is designed for DENALI DM and D2 compact lights; the larger models in the range are not supported.

Does it fit both KTM and Husqvarna?

Yes: DENALI confirms the fitment on both the KTM 500 EXC and the Husqvarna FE 501s. It has not been tested on other KTM EXC or Husqvarna FE models.

Can an enduro's electrical system handle an LED light?

It depends on the model and the auxiliary light. On these motorcycles, the electrical system is designed for little more than the original headlight, so it is best to choose a light with low power consumption and check the available capacity before installation.

How often should I check the tightness?

Much more often than the 50 km indicated for the first check. On an enduro bike, vibrations and jumps loosen the fasteners quickly: it is advisable to check them before every demanding ride, with medium-strength threadlocker applied during assembly.

I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
