Upper mount that lets you install any DENALI auxiliary light high up, on either side of the headlight, on the KTM 1290 Adventure R and S from 2021 to 2022. Powder-coated steel brackets with an M8 mounting hole and all necessary hardware.

Mounted high, the lights illuminate farther and remain better protected from stones and debris. For the same motorcycle, there is also the lower mount LAH0410700, which only accepts the compact DM, D2, D3 and S4 lights.

This is the same mount used in the DL4 auxiliary light kit for this motorcycle: if you upgrade to higher-end lights in the future, the mount remains compatible.

Upper or lower: two different supports

This is the upper mount: it positions the auxiliary lights high, beside the headlight, where they illuminate farther and remain better protected from stones and debris, and it accepts any DENALI auxiliary light.

The lower mount, for the same 2021-2022 1290 Adventure R and S, widens the beam at the edges but accepts only the compact DM, D2, D3, and S4 auxiliary lights.

The same mount as the DL4 kit

This is the mount DENALI uses in the DL4 auxiliary light kit for the 1290 Adventure. The M8 hole accepts any light in the range, so you can start with an affordable pair and upgrade to the D7 PROs by changing only the lights.

On KTM models, the control is different.

It is worth knowing while you choose the rest of the setup: with the CANsmart control unit, the auxiliary lights are switched on by entering the dashboard menu and toggling the DRL setting twice, while the motorcycle is stationary.

With a DialDim controller, on the other hand, they can be controlled from the handlebar dial at any time. On the 1290, many people prefer this second option.

Come si monta

Istruzioni complete e note di sicurezza

Compatibilità dichiarata. KTM 1290 Super Adventure R e S. È lo stesso supporto usato nel kit faretti DL4 per questa moto.

Montaggio. Il supporto superiore si fissa ai punti già previsti dal costruttore, senza forare né modificare nulla. I faretti si montano poi sul supporto con la viteria M8 in dotazione con il faretto stesso.

Coppie di serraggio. Frenafiletti a media resistenza e coppie standard DENALI — 5,0 Nm per M5, 9,0 Nm per M6, 18,0 Nm per M8 — con un controllo dopo i primi 50 km.

Puntamento e verifica finale. Moto in piano con una persona in sella a 7,6 metri da una parete, riga orizzontale 5 cm sotto il centro dei faretti. Poi manubrio a fondo corsa e forcella compressa.

DENALI riconosce 5 anni di garanzia convenzionale del produttore. Si aggiunge, e non sostituisce, i 24 mesi di garanzia legale di conformità previsti per legge.

Restano esclusi usura normale, abrasione, uso improprio, installazione errata, incidenti e modifiche. Tagliare o adattare le staffe rientra fra le modifiche e fa decadere la garanzia del produttore.

L'uso su strada pubblica dei fasci supplementari è regolato dal codice della strada del Paese in cui circoli: verifica sempre le prescrizioni locali su numero, posizione e accensione dei fari supplementari.

A chi ha una 1290 Adventure R o S del 2021 o 2022 e vuole i faretti in alto: più portata e migliore protezione da sassi e detriti.

Per la stessa moto c'è anche il supporto inferiore, valido per R e S ma solo con i faretti compatti DM, D2, D3 e S4.
