Description Lower auxiliary light bracket for BMW R 1300 GS

Code LAH0711800 — DENALI code LAH.07.11800

Lower mount that allows any DENALI auxiliary light to be installed on the BMW R 1300 GS in the low position, below the headlight. Powder-coated steel brackets with an M8 mounting hole and all the necessary hardware.

In the lower position, the lights widen the beam along the edges of the road and provide more depth on unpaved roads, where seeing nearby potholes and the edge matters more than distance. The trade-off is that they remain more exposed to mud and debris, so it is advisable to check the tightness and cleanliness more often.

A top mount is also available for the R 1300 GS, and the two are not alternatives: they can be installed together to provide both range and width.

Mounted low, the spotlights widen the beam along the road edges and provide greater depth on dirt roads, where seeing nearby potholes and the edge matters more than distance. This is the position many choose for off-road use.

Good to know beforehand: near the front wheel, the auxiliary lights are exposed to mud, stones, and splashes. This is not a sealing issue - DENALI auxiliary lights are IP68 and IP69K rated - but it is advisable to check the tightness and cleanliness more often, and consider protective grilles if you ride off-road.

The brackets are powder-coated steel, with an M8 hole and hardware included.

The mount attaches to the points already provided by the manufacturer, using the hardware included in the package. No drilling or modifications are required: if you ever sell the motorcycle, you can restore it to its original condition by removing three bolts.

The M8 hole accepts any DENALI auxiliary light, from the DL4 to the D7 PRO.

Is the taller stand better, or this shorter one?

It depends on how you use the motorcycle. Higher up, the auxiliary lights illuminate farther and are better protected; lower down, they widen the beam at the edges and provide depth on dirt roads. If you want both, the two mounts can be installed together.

Do the spotlights on the bottom get damaged?

They are more exposed to mud and stones, but DENALI lights are IP68 and IP69K certified, so sealing is not the issue. However, it is advisable to check the tightness and cleanliness more often, and use protective grilles if you often ride off-road.

Is it compatible with the R 1300 GS Adventure?

The R 1300 GS Adventure has different mounting points: check the stated compatibility before ordering, because that version requires a dedicated mount.

Premium upgrade on my BMW GS

I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
