Specific mount for installing the SoundBomb horn on the Suzuki V-Strom DL 1000 from 2014 onward.

The SoundBomb is larger and heavier than the stock horn: the original mount cannot support it or leave enough room for it to sound freely. This mount attaches to existing mounting points, without drilling.

The SoundBomb needs space

It is much larger and heavier than the stock horn, and the trumpet must remain unobstructed at the front: if it points toward a closed surface, you lose half the volume. This bracket finds the right mounting point on the V-Strom DL 1000 without trial and error.

The stated compatibility starts from 2014. A different bracket is available for the V-Strom DL 650, code HMT0510100: the two motorcycles do not share the horn mounting points.

Can't I use the original horn mount?

Almost never. The SoundBomb is larger and heavier than the stock horn, and the original bracket can't support it or give it enough clearance to sound freely. This bracket is designed for your motorcycle: it attaches to existing mounting points and positions the horn where it can operate without touching anything.

Is the horn included?

No, this is just the mount. The SoundBomb horn is purchased separately, and wiring is also required: for BMWs, the adapter for the original connector; for other motorcycles, the wiring harness with relay if you choose the twin-tone or split version.
