When the crash bars are already occupied by other accessories, mounting auxiliary lights becomes a space problem. The LOBOO CDJ082C mount solves it by positioning the lights at beak height, on the existing mounting points of the BMW R 1200 GS Adventure and R 1250 GS Adventure: LOBOO states that the mount was developed from the motorcycle’s original data and can be installed without cutting or drilling.

The structure is a crossbar made of high-strength aluminum alloy with an anodized oxidation treatment: 459 mm maximum overall width, 434 mm bar length, 101.5 mm height, and a stated weight of 471 g according to the technical panel. The lights are mounted at both ends, on the side joints that adjust their tilt on the vertical axis: raise or lower the beam independently on each side.

There are two holes in the center of the bar, with an 80 mm center-to-center distance: these are provided for the horn, and the installation hardware includes two M8×20 screws and two self-locking nuts. LOBOO also indicates that the same holes can be used to mount a speaker.

The LOBOO package contains five alloy components—the central bar, the two side mounts, and two brackets—two 55 mm-high spacers, and all the hardware, including the dedicated M8 and M6 screws for mounting the lights, eight M8 washers, and a tube of threadlocker. The tightening torques are specified item by item, from 10 to 20 N·m. Lights, horn, and wiring are not included: the manufacturer’s photos are for illustrative purposes only.

If you prefer to keep the lights low, on the crash bars, the CWJ082 mount is available for the same motorcycle on a separate page. The two do not exclude each other: they can coexist on the same GS Adventure.

Install the spotlights without drilling into your GS Adventure

The CDJ082C attaches to the motorcycle’s existing mounting points: LOBOO states that the mount was developed using the vehicle’s original data and can be installed without cutting or drilling. If you return the GS to its original configuration one day, simply remove it.

The bar is made of high-strength aluminum alloy with a black anodized finish: 459 mm maximum overall width, 434 mm length, and a stated weight of 471 g.

With the spotlights mounted high, the lower section of the crash bars remains free for other accessories. That is why this bar is chosen by those who have already fitted bags, guards, or mounts on their crash bars.

The side joints of the CDJ082C adjust the spotlights’ vertical tilt independently from one side to the other. A badly aimed spotlight illuminates the roadside or bothers oncoming drivers: here, you can make the adjustment with the motorcycle stationary and carrying the load you actually use.

Lateral orientation depends instead on the spotlight and its mount. The spotlights shown in the images are not included.

The CDJ082C works at a different mounting point than the brackets that clamp onto the crash bars: it does not take up space from the other accessories already installed.

For the same motorcycle, there is also the CWJ082 bracket, which mounts the auxiliary lights on the bars. The two do not exclude each other and can coexist on the same GS Adventure. Auxiliary lights not included.

At the center of the bar there are two holes with an 80 mm center-to-center distance: they are intended for the horn, and the assembly parts list includes the dedicated hardware, two M8×20 screws tightened to 18 N·m, and two self-locking M8 nuts. LOBOO also indicates the same holes for mounting a speaker.

The horn, speakers, and wiring are not included in the package.

The LOBOO kit contains 17 pieces: five alloy components, two 55 mm-high spacers, eight M8 washers, flanged self-locking nuts, and the M8×18, M8×16, and M6×16 screws specifically for mounting the spotlights.

Threadlocker is also included, and the tightening torques are specified item by item, from 10 to 20 N·m. Installation can be completed in a single session, without any trips to the hardware store.

Istruzioni complete e note di sicurezza

Il montaggio sfrutta i punti di fissaggio già presenti sulla moto: due dadi flangiati M8 si installano sui punti sotto il becco, la barra centrale si collega con le viti M6×16, e i due fissaggi laterali scendono ai punti bassi attraverso i distanziali da 55 mm, le viti M8×75 e le viti M8×20, con le relative rondelle. Il manuale indica anche l'orientamento corretto della barra rispetto all'anteriore della moto.

LOBOO chiede di non serrare le viti man mano: si posizionano tutti i componenti, si applica il frenafiletti fornito e solo alla fine si serra a coppia, rispettando i valori della distinta — 18 N·m per M8×75 e M8×20, 10 N·m per M6×16, 20 N·m per le viti dei faretti. Il produttore raccomanda infine di controllare periodicamente il serraggio di tutte le viti.

Assembly and Notes

  • Install under the beak, on the designated mounting points, without drilling.
  • The auxiliary lights must be oriented so as not to dazzle: their use on public roads is subject to the Highway Code regulations.
  • Recheck the fastenings after the first 100-200 km, especially if you use the motorcycle on unpaved roads.
  • Spotlights, horn, and wiring are not included.

It's the right choice if with your R 1200 or R 1250 GS Adventure:

  • You've run out of space on the crash bars, already occupied by other accessories
  • You want a wider beam and greater visibility in traffic, not just ground illumination
  • You also need a spot to mount an additional horn or a speaker
  • You want to be able to orient each spotlight independently, which static bars don't allow

Which motorcycles is the CDJ082C mount compatible with?

LOBOO states compatibility with the BMW R 1200 GS Adventure from 2014 onward and the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure from 2019 onward. The non-Adventure versions of the R 1200 GS and R 1250 GS are not covered; they require a different mount.

What is the difference compared with the CWJ082 spotlight bracket for the same motorcycle?

Change the mounting point. The CDJ082C attaches to the designated mounting points on the motorcycle and positions the auxiliary lights at beak height; the CWJ082, on the other hand, clamps onto the engine guard bars, lower down. They are not alternatives: those who have already occupied the crash bars with other accessories choose the CDJ082C, and the two mounts can also coexist on the same motorcycle.

Do I need to drill or cut anything on the motorcycle?

No. LOBOO states that the support is developed using the vehicle’s original data and is mounted on the existing anchor points, with no drilling or cutting. The installation is reversible: once the support is removed, the motorcycle returns to its original configuration.

Can the spotlights be adjusted once installed?

Yes, on the vertical axis: the side joints of the mount allow the beam angle to be raised and lowered independently on each side. The right/left orientation, however, depends on the type of spotlight and its fitting, not on the mount.

Are the spotlights included in the price?

No: only the mount is purchased. LOBOO explicitly states this on its panels, and the images showing the spotlights installed are for demonstration purposes. Wiring, control units, and horns must also be purchased separately.

Are the screws for mounting the spotlights included?

Yes. The LOBOO parts list includes two M8×18 screws and two M8×16 screws to be tightened to 20 N·m, two M6×16 screws to 10 N·m, and two M6 washers, all intended for mounting the auxiliary lights. The package also includes a tube of threadlocker.
