It replaces the wiring harness's on/off switch: the lights turn on and off with the ignition, just like a factory light.

No extra handlebar button and no risk of leaving them on while the motorcycle is stationary. It's the right solution if you pair the lights with a controller that already dims them, or if you simply want them always on while riding.

Spotlights like standard lighting

It takes the place of the wiring's on-off switch: from then on, the auxiliary lights turn on and off with the ignition, with no buttons to press and no risk of leaving them on when the motorcycle is stationary. It makes sense if a controller already dims the auxiliary lights, or if you simply want them always on when riding.

Is the installation reversible?

Yes. It connects to the existing wiring with waterproof connectors, without cutting or splicing anything: if you ever want to return to the previous configuration, simply disconnect it and reinstall the original part.

Does it work on my motorcycle?

There is one case in which it does not work: some motorcycles with LED headlights control the high beam by switching the ground instead of the positive, and that signal does not activate the DataDim. In that case, use a three-position switch to manually switch between the two levels. If you don't know how your motorcycle is wired, write to us.
