Attention, read before ordering: the LOBOO RM02-1300 fits only motorcycles already equipped as standard with the LCW system, the lane-change warning system. The mirror wiring must be connected to that system's original connector, and the warning indicator is integrated into the lens. On a motorcycle without LCW, there is nothing to connect it to.

What it is, in brief

Pair of folding rearview mirrors made of aluminum alloy, right and left, replacing the original mirrors while retaining the lane-change warning function. Lens measuring 166.1 × 103 mm, the largest in the range along with the RM02, and approximately 539 g per mirror: it is the heaviest, precisely because of the wiring.

Complete package

The package includes the pair of mirrors with wiring, two M10×20 screws to be tightened to 20 N·m, two washers, an 8 mm Allen key, two silicone covers, and five cable ties for securing the cable. The adapter kit is not needed; it is required instead for the RM02 and RM03.

Installation

The manufacturer asks you not to fully tighten the screws immediately: make all adjustments first, then tighten them definitively in sequence. Route the cable using the supplied cable ties and check that it does not become taut when the mirror rotates or folds. Periodically recheck the mounting screws.

Note about the lens: it is spherical, so objects appear smaller and seem farther away than they actually are. Do not adjust the mirror while riding.

This is the first check to make before looking at anything else. This code can ONLY be installed on motorcycles already equipped as standard with the LCW system, the lane-change warning.

The mirror wiring must be connected to that system’s original connector. If your motorcycle does not have LCW, there is nothing to connect it to: you need a different model.

The lane-change warning stays where the eye expects it: integrated into the lens, just like on the original mirrors. Replace the mirror without giving up the function.

The joint allows you to fold the mirror along the handlebar: it is useful in narrow passages, in the garage, on the van, and in the event of a fall, it is the part that gives way instead of breaking.

This kit is exclusively applicable to motorcycles equipped with the Lane Change Assist system, indicated by BMW as LCW.

How to check:If your motorcycle's original mirrors integrate the indicator light that signals vehicles in the blind spot, the system is present. Alternatively, check the equipment on the registration document or purchase configuration.

How can I tell if my motorcycle has the LCW system?

This is the decisive check: this code fits ONLY motorcycles already equipped as standard with lane-change warning. The clearest sign is the illuminated triangular indicator in the lens of the original mirror and the dedicated connector behind the mount. If you’re unsure, send us the motorcycle’s model, year, and trim, and we’ll verify it together before you order.

Can I install them if the motorcycle doesn't have LCW?

No. The wiring must be connected to the original connector of the lane departure warning system: without that system, there is nothing to connect it to, and the indicator light integrated into the lens would remain inactive. In that case, we can direct you to another model in the range.

Does installation require work on the electrical system?

No, nothing needs to be cut or spliced: the mirror cable plugs into the LCW system’s original connector, the one that the factory mirror was connected to. The only precaution is to route the cable using the five included cable ties and check that it does not become taut when the mirror rotates or folds.

Is the adapter kit needed?

No: this is one of the two models that arrive already complete. The package includes 2 M10×20 screws to be tightened to 20 N·m, 2 M10 washers, an 8 mm Allen key, 2 silicone covers, and 5 cable ties for routing the cable.

Do they really fold up, and what happens if I fall?

Do they vibrate at high speeds?

The body is made of CNC-machined aluminum alloy, and the ball joint should be fully tightened only after making all adjustments, as specified by the manufacturer, with the screws tightened to 20 N·m. Check the tightness again after the first few kilometers: if the mirror starts to move, it is almost always because the joint has loosened.
