LOBOO states a rise of twenty-five millimetres, or one inch. It is a modest, carefully chosen increase: it opens up the angle of the shoulders and wrists without moving the controls into an unnatural position or putting strain on the cable routing.

On the 800DE, the difference is most noticeable at two points: after the first hour on the motorway, when the load on your wrists and back begins to build, and when standing on the footpegs, where the stock handlebar forces you to lean forward.

The riser operates under load: it supports the handlebar and, when riding standing up, much of the rider’s upper-body weight. LOBOO states that it is made of high-strength CNC-machined aluminum alloy, with precisely positioned holes.

The alloy designation is not disclosed by the manufacturer, and we prefer not to specify one that no source confirms.

Anodizing isn’t a layer applied over the metal like paint: it’s a conversion of the aluminum surface itself. It doesn’t chip at the first contact with a wrench during installation and withstands winter saltwater better.

The black is matte and matches the standard components of the 800DE. Once installed, the risers are barely noticeable: they look more like part of the motorcycle than an added accessory.

LOBOO means non-destructive installation, developed using the original vehicle’s data: the risers fit onto the existing mounting points, with no drilling, cutting, or modifications.

It also means you can reverse it whenever you want: reinstall the stock clamps and the motorcycle is back to its original state. This matters if it’s leased or you’re thinking of selling it.

Once installed, the handlebar remains parallel to its original position: the risers raise it by twenty-five millimetres without tilting it or moving the controls relative to your hands.

The added bulk is minimal, and it mounts to the original attachment points. From outside the motorcycle, you can see two black blocks beneath the clamps—nothing else.

Twenty-five millimeters is a modest rise, and the stock cable slack is normally sufficient, but you should still check: with the motorcycle stationary, turn the handlebars fully to both sides and inspect the cables, brake lines, and clutch line.

Nothing should become taut, catch, or rub. This is the most important check when installing a riser, and it should be repeated along with tightening the fasteners after the first one or two hundred kilometers.
