LOBOO declares a twenty-five-millimeter rise. It is the most widely used measurement in the range, and not by chance: it is enough to change the angle of your shoulders and wrists without moving the controls into an unnatural position or putting the cable routing under tension.

Standing on the footpegs, the difference is immediate; seated, it builds up hour after hour.

The riser supports the handlebar and, when riding standing up, much of the rider’s upper-body weight: it is a load-bearing component, not a spacer. LOBOO states that it is made from CNC-machined aluminum alloy.

The alloy designation is not disclosed by the manufacturer, and we prefer not to state one that no source confirms.

The technical panel states a silver color and a finish achieved through anodic oxidation. It is not a layer applied over the metal like paint: it is a conversion of the aluminum surface itself.

It does not chip at the first knock from a wrench during installation, withstands winter saltwater better, and its tone matches the steering plate of the DS models.

LOBOO was among the first aftermarket brands to develop dedicated accessories for the DS platform, doing so from the motorcycle’s original 3D data—the same data used during the design phase.

Wheelbase, tolerances, and dimensions match the factory specifications instead of being derived from a generic diagram. In practice, this means the part sits flat and the screws go in straight, without forcing.

Once installation is complete, the handlebar remains parallel to its original position: the risers raise it without tilting it or moving the controls relative to your hands. The grips, bar-end weights, mirrors, and handguards remain in place.

The added bulk is two and a half centimeters: barely noticeable from the outside, but immediately noticeable from the saddle.

Risers use the existing mounting points: no drilling, no adaptations, and no permanent modifications to the motorcycle.

You can switch back whenever you want by reinstalling the stock clamps. This matters if the motorcycle is leased or if you plan to resell it.

Twenty-five millimeters is a modest rise, and the stock cable slack is normally sufficient, but you should still check: with the motorcycle stationary, turn the handlebars fully to both sides and inspect the cables, brake lines, and clutch line.

Nothing should become taut, catch, or rub. This is the most important check when installing a riser, and it should be repeated along with tightening the fasteners after the first one or two hundred kilometers.
