LOBOO Handlebar Riser for Honda CB500X, NX400 and NX500 | 20 mm Rise

LOBOO lists the Honda CB500X from 2019, the NX400 from 2024, and the NX500 from 2024. The manufacturer also adds the CB500 Super Four from 2026, which our distributor has not listed yet: if you have that model, contact us before ordering.

The CB400X and NC750X are not on this list: there is a dedicated code for them, which you can find on a separate page.

Twenty millimeters, approximately 0.78 inches. It is a fixed measurement: there are no variants with different rises or adjustments after installation.

This part only raises the handlebars; it does not move them toward the rider.

LOBOO writes that in most cases, the 20 mm riser falls within the slack of the stock cables, making it a direct installation with no permanent modifications.

However, the manufacturer says “in most cases,” not all. With the motorcycle stationary, turn the handlebars fully to both sides and check that the cables and hoses do not become taut, bind, or rub.

They may sound like little, but they land in exactly the right spot: they change the angle at which your arms reach the grips, and that determines how much your shoulders hunch. After an hour on a main road, the difference adds up in their favor.

LOBOO itself describes the 20 mm as the right balance: they improve posture without altering the bike's handling. If you're looking for a much more upright position, this isn't the right part.

For the pair: you receive both risers, which is everything needed for the entire handlebar.

A little: the design follows the line of the steering plate, and the black anodized finish matches the original Honda components. Once installed, it looks like a factory part.

The added bulk is two centimeters: the difference is noticeable from the seat, but barely visible from the outside.

If you use a handlebar-mounted navigation holder, after installation check that it does not come into contact with the windscreen when the handlebars are turned fully.

It’s within reach of anyone with a torque wrench and a little mechanical skill: remove the handlebar’s upper clamps, insert the risers, and tighten everything back up.

A torque wrench really is necessary because these bolts secure the handlebar. LOBOO does not publish torque values for this part number; follow the values specified by Honda. Without the tool, it’s better to have a workshop do it.

Yes. Risers do not replace the handlebar: they fit between the top plate and the clamps, repositioning the one you already have. The controls, grips, bar-end weights, and handguards remain where they are.

Standing on the footpegs, there is no longer any need to lean forward, and you gain leverage on the handlebars during slow maneuvers. When seated, your back remains straighter.

The manufacturer specifies that this measurement was chosen precisely so as not to alter the motorcycle's behavior: the geometry, suspension, and braking system remain original.

LOBOO does not publish the weight for this part number, and we would rather tell you that than estimate. In any case, these are two aluminum blocks just a few centimeters in size: the increase compared with the original clamps is on the order of a few dozen grams.
