Description LOBOO Handlebar Riser for CFMOTO 800MT-X (2024+) | 20 mm Rise

Pair of LOBOO handlebar risers CJG603 for the CFMOTO 800MT-X from 2024 onward: they raise the grip position by 20 mm, reducing strain on the wrists, shoulders, and back during long rides and making standing riding on the footpegs feel more natural.

The body is made from high-strength aluminum alloy with CNC machining, with a black anodized finish that matches the dark components of the 800MT-X. The number 603 from the part code is engraved on the side of each piece.

LOBOO states that installation is non-destructive: the risers mount to the original attachment points without altering the motorcycle’s structure and are fully reversible.

Check the version carefully: these risers are designed for the 800MT-X, not the 800MT. Check your motorcycle’s version before purchasing.

Check after installation: turn the handlebars fully from side to side and make sure the cables, brake lines, and clutch lines are not pulled tight or rubbing.

Why choose it
  • Less fatigue: reduces strain on wrists, shoulders, and back during long rides.
  • Standing control: more natural position when standing on the footpegs.
  • Low cost: the first accessory to consider for an adventure bike used off-road.
  • Dedicated to the model: CFMOTO 800 MT-X from 2024.
Who is it recommended for

Please note the version:these risers are for the CFMOTO 800 MT-X from 2024. Please check your motorcycle's version before purchasing: the MT and MT-X have different components.

Check after installation:ensure that cables, brake and clutch lines have sufficient slack when the steering is fully turned, on both sides.

How does it work, in detail?

Twenty millimeters that change your day

Twenty millimeters that change your day

The 800MT-X is an adventure bike also designed for off-road riding, and that is precisely where the standard position shows its limitation: the handlebar remains low, and when standing on the foot pegs, you have to lean forward to reach it.

The risers are two aluminum blocks positioned between the steering plate and the handlebar clamps. The part number is CJG603, intended for the 800MT-X from 2024 onward.

Twenty millimetres, as specified by the manufacturer

Twenty millimetres, as specified by the manufacturer

LOBOO states a twenty-millimeter rise, just under an inch. The modest increase is intentional: it is enough to change the angle of your shoulders and wrists without moving the controls into an unnatural position or putting tension on the cable routing.

You notice it after the first hour on the highway; standing, you notice it immediately, on the first rough section.

High-strength aluminum, CNC-machined

High-strength aluminum, CNC-machined

The riser supports the handlebar and, when riding standing up, much of the rider’s upper-body weight: it is a load-bearing component, not a spacer. LOBOO states that it is made of high-strength aluminum alloy produced by CNC machining, for a precise fit on the plate.

The alloy designation is not disclosed by the manufacturer, and we prefer not to specify one that no source confirms.

Anodized black, not painted

Anodized black, not painted

Anodization isn’t a layer sitting on top of the metal like paint: it’s a conversion of the aluminum’s surface itself. It won’t chip at the first knock from a wrench during installation and stands up better to salty winter water.

The matte black complements the dark components of the 800MT-X: once installed, the risers look like part of the bike.

It mounts without touching the motorcycle’s structure

It mounts without touching the motorcycle’s structure

LOBOO talks about non-destructive installation: the risers attach to the existing mounting points, without drilling, cutting, or modifications to the steering plate.

It also means you can reverse the installation whenever you want: reinstall the stock clamps and the motorcycle is back to its original condition. This matters if it’s leased or if you plan to resell it.

How do they look when assembled?

How do they look when assembled?

Once installation is complete, the handlebar remains parallel to its original position: the risers raise it without tilting it or shifting the controls relative to your hands. The grips, bar-end weights, mirrors, and navigation mount remain in place.

The added bulk is minimal, and the profile follows the line of the plate, so they are barely noticeable from the outside.

MT-X, non-MT

MT-X, non-MT

The manufacturer declares compatibility only with the CFMOTO 800MT-X from 2024 onward. The 800MT, although it has the same family name, has a different steering plate and uses a different reference.

This is the check to make before ordering: look at the model designation on the side of your motorcycle, not the engine displacement.

FAQs

For more information, please see our FAQ.

Will they fit my motorcycle? MT or MT-X?

The LOBOO technical panel is compatible only with the CFMOTO 800MT-X from 2024 onward.

The 800MT has a different steering plate and requires a different part number: check the model designation on the side of the motorcycle before ordering, and if you have any doubts, write to us.

How much does the handlebar rise?

Twenty millimeters, or 0.79 inches, according to the LOBOO technical panel. It is a fixed measurement: there are no variants with different riser heights or adjustments after installation.

This part only raises the handlebar; it does not move it toward the rider.

Can you really feel twenty millimetres?

They may sound small put that way, but they fall in exactly the right place: they change the angle at which your arms reach the grips, and that is the angle that determines how much your shoulders close in.

The difference is immediate when standing on the foot pegs; when seated, it builds up hour after hour. If you’re looking for a much more upright position, though, this isn’t the right part: the adjustment is deliberately limited.

Do I need to lengthen the cables, brake lines, or clutch lines?

With a 20 mm rise, the slack in the original cables is usually sufficient, and LOBOO does not provide replacements. However, this must be checked on your motorcycle.

With the motorcycle stationary, turn the handlebars fully to both sides and check that the cables and hoses do not become taut, catch, or rub. If anything is under tension, the routing must be revised before riding again.

Is the price for one or for the pair?

For the pair: you receive both risers, which is everything needed for the entire handlebar.

What’s in the package?

The two risers with the mounting hardware. LOBOO does not publish a detailed parts list for this code, and we prefer to tell you that rather than list undocumented components.

If you need confirmation of the individual parts before ordering, contact us and we’ll ask the distributor.

What material are they made of?

LOBOO states that it uses high-strength CNC-machined aluminum alloy with a black anodized finish. The alloy designation is not specified by the manufacturer, and we prefer not to provide one that no source confirms.

Do I need a mechanic, or can I install them myself?

It is within the reach of anyone with a torque wrench and a little mechanical ability: remove the upper handlebar clamps, insert the risers, and tighten everything back up.

A torque wrench is really necessary because these bolts secure the handlebar. LOBOO does not publish torque values for this part number; the values specified by CFMOTO must be followed. Without the proper tool, a workshop is the better option.

With the risers installed, does the tank bag still fit?

Yes: this riser only raises the handlebar; it does not move it back toward the tank, so the available space is not reduced.

If you use a handlebar-mounted navigation holder, after installation check that it does not contact the fairing or windshield when the handlebars are turned fully.

Does the original handlebar remain the same?

Yes. The risers do not replace the handlebar: they take the place of the clamps and reposition the one you already have. The controls, grips, bar ends, and handguards remain where they are.

Does it change anything about the ride besides comfort?

Standing on the footpegs gives you more leverage on the handlebars, so your body doesn’t have to lean forward: on dirt roads, that’s the difference between working with the bike and chasing it. During slow maneuvers, the sense of control is more immediate.

This is not a modification to the chassis: the geometry, suspension, and braking system remain as original.

How much do they weigh?

LOBOO does not publish the weight for this code, and we prefer to tell you that rather than estimate it. In any case, these are two aluminum blocks just a few centimeters long: the increase compared with the original clamps is on the order of a few dozen grams.

Can I return to the original setup?

Yes. LOBOO states that the installation is non-destructive: it uses the existing mounting points, with no drilling or permanent modifications. The original clamps are reinstalled, and the motorcycle returns to its original condition.
