Description Refill for tubeless repair kit — 8 ml vulcanizing fluid and 6 MARUNI strips

The Japanese version of the refill: one 8 ml tube of Maruni Super Valkarn G Plus, weighing 11 grams, and six vulcanizing strips.

Maruni is a historic name in tire repair, and Super Valkarn is the cement found in repair shops. The strips are gray, solid in cross-section, and used exactly like the others: placed in the fork of the needle and pushed into the reamed hole.

Why keep a spare

Strips and cement are consumables: they dry out while sitting in the kit, and if you notice it on the day of a puncture, it's too late. A fresh refill before the season costs about as much as one and a half coffees.

Where they go

They fit in the internal compartment of the LOBOO T10 repair kit, which accepts strips up to 110 × 7 × 3 mm and a tube up to 80 × 20 × 14 mm, and work with any string-style tool for tubeless tires.

The repair tool and anything for reinflation are not included.

What’s the difference compared with TECH top-up?

The vulcanizing cement: here it is a Japanese 8 ml Maruni Super Valkarn G Plus, while the other is a 10 ml TECH. The strips are also different: gray Made in Japan ones versus blue TECH-branded ones. They work identically and cost the same. Maruni is a historic tire-repair brand, established in 1948, and Super Valkarn is the cement found in repair shops.

Is the repair tool included?

No. This is just the refill: a tube of sealant and six strips. You need a string tool for the repair and something to inflate it, either a small compressor or a canister.

Does it fit in the T10 kit compartment?

It is the refill that LOBOO sells for that kit. The compartment in the clamp arm accepts strips up to 110 × 7 × 3 mm and a tube up to 80 × 20 × 14 mm, dimensions intended for standard material like this. The T10 hard case also has two additional empty compartments specifically for sealant and strips.

How many repairs can I do?

Six strips, so generally six punctures: one strip per puncture. A second one may be needed for a wide cut. The 8 ml tube, equivalent to 11 grams, is enough for all six, because each repair uses a thin layer on the needle and the strip.

How long does a refill last in the kit?

The manufacturer does not specify an expiration date, but strips and mastic are consumable materials that dry out when left unused, with the tube doing so before the strips. The right way to use them is to replace them at the start of the season rather than waiting until you need them: the wrong time to discover that the tube has hardened.

Can it be shipped? Can I take it on a plane?

The sealant is a chemical product, and the manufacturer has assessed its transport requirements: safety data sheets and air and sea transport assessments are available for Super Valkarn G Plus. We regularly ship it within Italy. If you need to carry it on a plane yourself, the airline sets the rules, which must be checked with them: write to us and we’ll send you the manufacturer’s documentation.

Is a string repair permanent?

No, and it’s important to know that: it’s meant to get you home or to a tire shop. After an emergency repair, the tire must be inspected by a professional, who will decide whether to repair it from the inside or replace it. In the meantime, drive at a cautious speed and check the pressure again.

Is it suitable for any tire?

Only for tubeless tires, meaning without an inner tube. On a tire with an inner tube, a string repair will not hold because the hole goes through the inner tube, not the tread.
