The LOBOO CJC092 side stand plate widens the side stand foot and distributes the scooter's weight over a larger area, reducing the risk of it sinking into compacted soil, gravel, grass, or asphalt softened by the summer sun.

One code covers the BMW C 400 X and C 400 GT, both from 2018 onward: these are the two motorcycles listed on the same page of the LOBOO installation manual.

Why it matters more on a maxi-scooter

A C 400 is parked in the city every day, often on surfaces that give way in summer. The original foot has a small surface area: when it sinks, the vehicle gradually lowers and eventually rests on the fairing, which is the most expensive part to replace on these scooters.

Two-piece construction in high-strength CNC-machined aluminum alloy: the base rests on the ground, while the cover clamps over the original foot. LOBOO states that CNC machining is responsible for the finish and the precise hole positioning. The underside is hollowed out with two pockets machined from solid material, and the outer edge has a wave-shaped profile.

LOBOO states that it uses high-strength aluminum alloy and computer numerical control machining, and identifies CNC as the reason for the surface finish and precise hole positioning.

These are the holes that must align with the original foot shape: even one millimeter out of position is immediately noticeable during installation.

The original kickstand foot does not come off. The base goes underneath, the cover on top, and three M5×10 screws clamp them together around the stock foot.

No drilling and no permanent modifications: if you sell the scooter, you can return it to its original condition in just a few minutes.

Is it also suitable for a C 400 registered after 2024?

Yes: the stated window is open-ended, from 2018 onward, and therefore also includes the most recent examples.

The manual’s file name says (2024-), but the printed page of the same manual, the graphic panel, and the distributor’s price list all state (2018-). We publish the broader window because it is the one stated by the highest-ranking source.

Do I need to remove the foot of the original kickstand?

No. The stock foot stays in place, enclosed between the base and the plate cover, which are tightened with three screws. No drilling or permanent modifications: if you resell it, you can return it to its original state in just a few minutes.

What tool is needed, and what torque should the screws be tightened to?

T25 Torx key, included in the package together with the three M5×10 screws and a single-use portion of threadlocker. The torque specified in the manual is 5 N·m for all three screws.

The manual instructs you not to fully tighten them immediately: first adjust the position, then tighten them in sequence, and periodically recheck the screws.

Does it make sense if I park in the city almost all the time?

Yes, and perhaps more so than elsewhere. In the city, the most common yielding surface is not soil but sun-softened summer asphalt, where the original foot sinks in slowly and leaves its mark.

On firm asphalt in the shade, the plate does not add much, except for providing more stable support on uneven or sloping surfaces.
