Description Kickstand plate for BMW C 400 X and C 400 GT from 2018 | CNC aluminum, mounts on the original foot

The LOBOO CJC092 side stand plate widens the side stand foot and distributes the scooter's weight over a larger area, reducing the risk of it sinking into compacted soil, gravel, grass, or asphalt softened by the summer sun.

One code covers the BMW C 400 X and C 400 GT, both from 2018 onward: these are the two motorcycles listed on the same page of the LOBOO installation manual.

Why it matters more on a maxi-scooter

A C 400 is parked in the city every day, often on surfaces that give way in summer. The original foot has a small surface area: when it sinks, the vehicle gradually lowers and eventually rests on the fairing, which is the most expensive part to replace on these scooters.

How it is made

Two-piece construction in high-strength CNC-machined aluminum alloy: the base rests on the ground, while the cover clamps over the original foot. LOBOO states that CNC machining is responsible for the finish and the precise hole positioning. The underside is hollowed out with two pockets machined from solid material, and the outer edge has a wave-shaped profile.

What the manual states

  • Parts list: base, cover, 3 M5×10 screws, Torx T25 key, single-use threadlocker
  • Tightening torque: 5 N·m for all three screws
  • Do not fully tighten immediately: make all adjustments first, then tighten the screws to the final torque in sequence
  • Periodically check the fastening screws
  • Eight-language manual included in the package

The original foot does not need to be removed, and nothing needs to be drilled: installation is reversible, and the scooter can be returned to its standard condition in just a few minutes.

For this code, the manufacturer does not state the weight or dimensions, unlike other plates in the range. We prefer to say so rather than estimate. It is also worth remembering that the plate reduces the risk of sinking, but does not eliminate it: assessing the surface where you park remains your responsibility.

Why choose it
  • Increased footprint: distributes weight and reduces the risk of sinking.
  • Useful on yielding surfaces: beaten earth, gravel, grass and asphalt softened by the summer sun.
  • Two motorcycles with one code: BMW C 400 X and C 400 GT, both from 2018 onwards.
  • Mounts on the original side stand: no drilling required.
Who is it recommended for

It is useful if you regularly park on:

  • Dirt, grass or gravel
  • Hot asphalt in summer, where softened bitumen yields under the kickstand
  • Sloping or uneven surfaces

Compatibility: BMW C 400 X and C 400 GT, both from 2018 onwards.

Documents and manufacturer

Assembly and Notes

  • It attaches to the original side stand foot, without drilling.
  • Check tightness after initial use and periodically throughout the season.
  • The extension reduces the risk of sinking but does not replace assessing the ground surface.
  • Check model and year before purchasing.

How does it work, in detail?

A code for the C 400 X and C 400 GT

A code for the C 400 X and C 400 GT

The plate increases the kickstand’s contact area and distributes the vehicle’s weight: less risk of sinking into compacted earth, gravel, grass, and asphalt softened by the sun.

The installation manual lists two motorcycles for this code, the BMW C 400 X and C 400 GT, both from 2018: the same part fits both.

High-strength aluminum alloy, CNC-machined

High-strength aluminum alloy, CNC-machined

LOBOO states that it uses high-strength aluminum alloy and computer numerical control machining, and identifies CNC as the reason for the surface finish and precise hole positioning.

These are the holes that must align with the original foot shape: even one millimeter out of position is immediately noticeable during installation.

It mounts on the original foot without drilling.

The original kickstand foot does not come off. The base goes underneath, the cover on top, and three M5×10 screws clamp them together around the stock foot.

No drilling and no permanent modifications: if you sell the scooter, you can return it to its original condition in just a few minutes.

The box contains the base, the cover, three M5×10 screws, a T25 Torx key, and a single-dose packet of threadlocker. Nothing else is needed.

Torque specified in the manual: 5 N·m for all three screws. The manual recommends not fully tightening them immediately, adjusting the position first, and only then tightening them in sequence, as well as periodically rechecking the screws.

The CNC-machined base

The CNC-machined base

The bottom of the base is hollowed out with two pockets machined from solid: they remove material where it isn’t needed while leaving the perimeter solid, which is the part that actually works against the ground.

The outer edge is shaped in waves, a design that LOBOO uses across its entire range of kickstand plates.

Why it matters more on a maxi-scooter than anywhere else

Why it matters more on a maxi-scooter than anywhere else

A C 400 is parked in the city every day, often on surfaces that give way in summer. The original stand has a small contact area: when it sinks in, the scooter gradually lowers until it ends up resting on the fairing.

On these scooters, the fairing is the most expensive part to replace, which is why a plate costing just a few dozen euros offers a disproportionately large return.

Before and after, on the same plot of land

Before and after, on the same plot of land

The two manufacturer photos show the same stand on the same loose soil: without the plate, the foot cuts into the ground and sinks; with the plate, it stays on the surface.

This is the use case the plate was designed for: parking on compacted earth, gravel, grass, and asphalt softened by the summer sun.

What the manufacturer does not disclose

What the manufacturer does not disclose

For this LOBOO code, neither the weight nor the dimensions are published. For the other codes in the range, there is a parameter sheet that lists them; here there isn’t one, and we prefer to say so rather than estimate a number.

The only dimensional reference is the ruler from 0 to 8 cm printed in the manual. If you need the exact overall dimensions, write to us and we’ll verify them before the order.

FAQs

For more information, please see our FAQ.

What is the purpose of widening the stand’s base?

It increases the ground contact area and distributes the vehicle’s weight, reducing the risk of it sinking into compacted soil, gravel, grass, or asphalt softened by the summer sun. It is one of the most affordable accessories with the greatest practical benefit.

Does it fit both the C 400 X and the C 400 GT?

Yes. The LOBOO installation manual lists both motorcycles on the same page: the BMW C400X from 2018 and the BMW C400GT from 2018—one code for both versions.

Is it also suitable for a C 400 registered after 2024?

Yes: the stated window is open-ended, from 2018 onward, and therefore also includes the most recent examples.

The manual’s file name says (2024-), but the printed page of the same manual, the graphic panel, and the distributor’s price list all state (2018-). We publish the broader window because it is the one stated by the highest-ranking source.

Do I need to remove the foot of the original kickstand?

No. The stock foot stays in place, enclosed between the base and the plate cover, which are tightened with three screws. No drilling or permanent modifications: if you resell it, you can return it to its original state in just a few minutes.

What tool is needed, and what torque should the screws be tightened to?

T25 Torx key, included in the package together with the three M5×10 screws and a single-use portion of threadlocker. The torque specified in the manual is 5 N·m for all three screws.

The manual instructs you not to fully tighten them immediately: first adjust the position, then tighten them in sequence, and periodically recheck the screws.

What’s in the package?

The manual lists five items: the support base, the top cover, three M5×10 screws, a T25 Torx key, and a single-use packet of threadlocker. The box also contains the assembly manual in eight languages.

What material is it made of?

High-strength CNC-machined aluminum alloy: that is what the manufacturer’s technical panel states. LOBOO does not publish the alloy designation, so we do not report it.

How much does it weigh, and how big is it?

For this product code, the manufacturer states neither the weight nor the dimensions: unlike other plates in the range, there is no specifications sheet. We do not estimate a value that no source supports.

The only reference is the 0-to-8 cm ruler printed in the manual. If you need the exact dimensions, write to us and we will verify them before ordering.

Does it make sense if I park in the city almost all the time?

Yes, and perhaps more so than elsewhere. In the city, the most common yielding surface is not soil but sun-softened summer asphalt, where the original foot sinks in slowly and leaves its mark.

On firm asphalt in the shade, the plate does not add much, except for providing more stable support on uneven or sloping surfaces.

Is it an original LOBOO product?

Yes: we sell exclusively genuine, brand-new LOBOO products in the manufacturer’s original packaging, with the assembly manual included in eight languages.

How is shipping handled, and can I return it?

Tracked shipping throughout Italy, free for orders over 100 euros; in Europe, it is free for orders over 250 euros.

You have 14 days from receipt of the last item in your order to request a return, in accordance with the conditions in the returns and refunds policy. The product must be returned intact and in its original packaging.

Is the product covered by a warranty?

Yes: all LOBOO products sold on Endurrad are covered by the 24-month statutory consumer warranty. In the event of a lack of conformity, we will handle the claim with the manufacturer.
