The abrasion plate is fitted to the outer edge of the aluminum bar, the point that scrapes first when the bike goes down. It protects the aluminum and finishes the handguard’s outer profile.
Which handguards is it for?
The manufacturer specifies it for plastics from the VPS series. It is not specified for JET, STORM, or CARBON: if you have one of those, write to us before ordering.
Not included with the handguards
Barkbusters lists it as a separate accessory: anyone who wants that extra protection orders it together with the plastics. It is the typical purchase for riders who use their bike off-road, where contact with the ground is not a remote possibility.
What you will find in the package
- The black abrasion plate.
