Description Oversized Aluminum Footpegs for BMW GS | 85 × 60 mm, mount on top of the original footpegs

The standard footpegs on the BMW GS range are sized for seated riding. When standing, on dirt roads or a long stretch of gravel, the narrow surface concentrates the load on a small section of the sole: your foot becomes tired, control worsens, and the boot tends to slip over the edge. LOBOO CJT010 enlarged footpeg extensions solve the problem without replacing anything: they attach on top of the original footpeg and increase the support surface to 85 × 60 mm.

Why choose LOBOO CJT010 enlarged footpeg extensions

  • 85 × 60 mm platform. More surface area means the load is distributed over a larger part of the sole: fewer pressure points when riding standing up and less foot fatigue at the end of a day’s journey.
  • Non-slip concave-convex surface. The CNC-machined pattern grips the sole from multiple angles, not just from below: this matters when the boot is wet or muddy.
  • Non-destructive installation. The original footpeg remains in place and does not need to be removed or modified. The installation is completely reversible: if you sell the motorcycle or take it to a workshop, the standard configuration remains intact beneath the extension.
  • CNC-machined aluminum. Solid block, not stamped sheet metal: the structure is sized to support the rider’s weight on a loaded GS.
  • Manufacturer-specified torque. The manual specifies 12 N·m for the four M6×16 screws: a value that lets you install them correctly without relying on guesswork.

Real-world use

They are designed for riders who stand regularly: long dirt roads, gravel, technical sections, and even asphalt touring where standing helps relieve back strain. On a GS loaded with luggage, the difference is especially noticeable in the foot’s lateral stability when shifting your weight. They are not a track accessory: the manufacturer does not recommend using them on sport motorcycles or at extreme lean angles.

Installation

The LOBOO manual describes installation in a few minutes, without disassembling anything on the motorcycle. The extension sits on top of the original footpeg, the support pin is positioned underneath, and two M6×16 screws per side secure the assembly. The manual instructs you to observe the pin’s installation direction and not tighten fully straight away: first complete the adjustments, then perform the final tightening in sequence to 12 N·m. LOBOO also recommends periodically checking the screw torque.

Tool included. No workshop required.

Compatibility

Check before ordering: the footpegs matter, not just the model. The CJT010 is designed for standard BMW footpegs, the narrow type. If your motorcycle is equipped with rally or enduro footpegs as standard—wide and toothed—the extension cannot be installed. This restriction is explicitly stated in the manual.

Package contents

  • 2 CNC aluminum footpeg extensions (left and right)
  • 2 support pins
  • 4 M6×16 screws
  • 1 installation wrench
  • Installation manual in 8 languages, including Italian

If you often ride standing up, enlarged footpegs really make a difference when the handlebar position is also suitable: consider pairing them with a LOBOO riser for your GS.

Why choose it
Who is it recommended for

How does it work, in detail?

The first ergonomic modification on a GS

The first ergonomic modification on a GS

If you ride standing for extended periods—long stretches of dirt road, gravel, or simply to take the strain off your back while traveling—foot support is the contact point that matters most.

LOBOO oversized footpegs come as a pair, complete with hardware and a tool, and require no workshop installation.

Nine compatible BMWs, and one constraint to check

Nine compatible BMWs, and one constraint to check

The manufacturer lists nine models: R 1300 GS from 2023, R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure from 2019, R 1200 GS from 2013, R 1200 GS Adventure from 2014, F 850 GS from 2021, F 750 GS from 2017, G 310 GS from 2017, and S 1000 XR up to 2020.

However, the footrest you have installed also matters. The CJT010 works only with standard BMW footrests, the narrow ones; it cannot be installed with the wide, serrated factory rally footrests. Compare yours with the drawing alongside before ordering.

85 × 60 mm support surface

85 × 60 mm support surface

The usable surface expands from the narrow area of the original footboard to a platform measuring 85 mm by 60 mm.

The weight is distributed over a larger area of the sole: fewer pressure points during standing sections and less foot fatigue at the end of the day.

Also taken with the wet boot

Also taken with the wet boot

The design concave-convex machined with CNC grips the sole from multiple angles, not just from below.

That is what matters when it rains or when the boot is muddy—exactly when a foot slipping off the footpeg becomes a problem.

They are mounted on top of the original footrests.

No disassembly: the extender attaches on top of the standard footboard, which stays in place. Four M6×16 screws at 12 N·m, wrench included in the package.

The modification can be reversed at any time, and the original folding mechanism, where present, continues to work.

Machined from solid aluminum

Machined from solid aluminum

Not stamped sheet metal, but a machined block of light alloy CNC.

Machining precision serves two purposes: an exact fit on the original footboard, which must remain secure under load, and a structure designed to support the rider’s weight on a GS loaded with luggage.

FAQs

For more information, please see our FAQ.

Do they replace the original footboards, or are they mounted on top?

They are mounted on top. The original footboard remains in place and must not be removed or modified: the installation is non-destructive and can be reversed at any time.

Are they suitable if my BMW already has rally footpegs?

No. The LOBOO manual explicitly rules this out: the CJT010 works only with standard BMW footpegs, the narrow ones. With the factory-fitted, wide, serrated rally or enduro footpegs, the extender will not fit.

How do I figure out which footboards I have?

Compare yours with the drawing in the tab. The standard ones have a narrow support strip; the rally ones are wider, made of steel, with pronounced teeth along the edge. If you’re still unsure, send us a photo of your footpegs before ordering.

Which BMW models are compatible?

The CJT010 installation manual lists nine models: R 1300 GS from 2023, R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure from 2019, R 1200 GS from 2013, R 1200 GS Adventure from 2014, F 850 GS from 2021, F 750 GS from 2017, G 310 GS from 2017, and S 1000 XR up to 2020. However, the type of footpeg fitted to the motorcycle also matters.

How large does the contact surface become?

85 × 60 mm, value declared by the manufacturer.

What’s in the package?

Two extenders (left and right), two support pins, four M6×16 screws, one assembly wrench, and assembly instructions in eight languages, including Italian.

Do I need to buy anything else to install them?

No. Fasteners and the mounting wrench are included in the package. No brackets, adapters, or original BMW replacement parts are needed.

How tight should the screws be?

12 N·m, the value specified in the manual for the four M6×16 screws. The manual recommends not fully tightening them immediately: first complete all adjustments, then perform the final tightening in sequence, and periodically recheck it.

How long does it take to assemble them?

It’s a parking-lot job: two screws per side, without disassembling anything on the motorcycle and without any special tools. The manual specifies completing all adjustments first and only then carrying out the final tightening in sequence.

Does the platform tilting mechanism still work?

Yes. Since the original footboard is not altered, the standard folding mechanism remains functional where present.

Are they also suitable for passenger footboards?

No, the manufacturer specifies them for rider footpegs. The geometry of the passenger footpeg mounts is different and is not covered by the stated compatibility.

Do they reduce the bend angle?

The manufacturer designs them for adventure and touring motorcycles, where lean angles are moderate, and states that they remain within safe limits on supported models. They are not the right accessory for sport bikes or track use.

What material are they made of?

Manufacturer-declared CNC-machined aluminum alloy. These are solid blocks machined from billet, not stamped sheet metal.

How much do they weigh?

The weight is not stated by any official LOBOO source: neither the manual, nor the technical data sheet, nor the manufacturer's panels. We prefer to tell you this rather than publish an estimate.

Is the product covered by a warranty?

Yes: all LOBOO products sold on Endurrad are covered by the 24-month statutory consumer warranty. In the event of a lack of conformity, we will handle the claim with the manufacturer.

Can I return the product if it isn’t suitable?

Yes, you are entitled to return the item within 14 days of delivery under online purchase regulations. The product must be intact and in its original packaging: contact us and we’ll guide you through the process.
