Handguards with a high-strength aluminum alloy body for the CFMOTO adventure range: 450MT, 700MT, 800MT, and 800MT-X. They replace the motorcycle’s original handguards: the CHS603 bracket takes their place, with two-point mounting, a wind deflector adjustable to three positions without tools, and replaceable side impact pads.

Why choose this LOBOO product

  • High-strength aluminum alloy body: a rigid cage around the hands and brake and clutch levers. Original levers cost much more than a handguard.
  • They replace the original handguards: they are not added to the factory handguards on your CFMOTO; they take their place. The originals must be removed.
  • Black or silver bracket: the CHS603 is available in two finishes, black CHS603BK and silver CHS603SL, with the same mounting system and compatibility.

Documents and manufacturer

Assembly

  • Remove the original handguards from the motorcycle: the CHS603 replaces them.
  • Mount the bracket to the two attachment points, handlebar end and handlebar tube, without fully tightening.
  • Screw the shield onto the bracket and mount the bumper pads on the sides.
  • Adjusting or removing the deflector does not require tools.
  • Once assembled, test the steering to full lock on both sides and check that cables and controls remain free.
  • Recheck the tightening after the first 100-200 km. The manufacturer does not publish the prescribed torques for this model.

Use and maintenance

  • Clean with water and mild soap. Avoid solvents on the transparent deflector.
  • After an impact or fall, check brackets, clamps and pads before getting back on the road.
  • Handguards reduce the exposure of hands and levers, but do not replace gloves and protective clothing.
  • Keep the disassembled original handguards if you plan to resell the motorcycle with standard accessories.

What do I need to buy to get a complete handguard?

Three components are required, as specified by the manufacturer: one pair of CHS603 brackets in your preferred finish, one pair of CHP001 shields in your preferred color, and one CFCK001 bumper pad kit. The Complete Set variant already includes all three; the other variants on this page are individual pieces, useful as replacements.

Which CFMOTO models do they fit?

The CHS603 bracket fits the CFMOTO 450MT and 700MT from 2024, the 800MT from 2021, and the 800MT-X from 2024. Outside Europe, the 450MT and 800MT are called the Ibex 450 and Ibex 800: they are the same motorcycles. The CHP001 shield and CFCK001 bumpers, on the other hand, are components shared across the entire LOBOO handguard range.

What is the difference between the black bracket and the silver bracket?

Only the finish differs. CHS603BK is black, CHS603SL is silver: same mounting, same dimensions, same compatibility. We keep the black one in stock; the silver one is ordered on request, and we'll confirm the lead time before proceeding.

What size are they?

306.2 × 126.3 × 200.3 mm per individual handguard. These dimensions were measured manually by the manufacturer, so they should be considered accurate only to within a millimeter. LOBOO notes that measurements vary from one handguard model to another; these apply to the CHS603.

How does the adjustable deflector work?

The transparent extension above the shield has three configurations: high, low, or removed. It can be changed by hand without tools: high in winter and on the highway, low in the transitional seasons, and removed off-road when airflow and visibility are needed.

Why two-point mounting?

A single attachment leaves the handguard free to rotate when it takes a hit. With the second anchor point on the handlebar tube, the structure stays in position: this is exactly the function the manufacturer attributes to the dual mounting point.

Do they provide protection in the event of a fall?

They are designed to protect hands and brake and clutch levers from wind, debris, and accidental contact, while the impact pads absorb shocks in the event of a low-speed fall. They are not an approved safety device and do not replace gloves and protective clothing.

Is assembly within everyone’s reach?

It is a simple mechanical job, but you are working near levers and controls. For this model, LOBOO does not publish a manual or torque specifications: tighten carefully, check again after the first 100–200 km, and verify that the cables and controls remain unobstructed.

Do I need to remove the original handguards?

Yes. On the CFMOTO MT range, the CHS603 replaces the standard handguards rather than being added to them: they must be removed before installing the bracket. Keep this in mind if you plan to resell the motorcycle with the original accessories.

Can I change the shield color later?

Yes. The shield and bracket are separate pieces: you can later order just the pair of CHP001 shields in the other color and keep the bracket already installed.

Do they interfere with mirrors and controls?

In the manufacturer’s images, the handguard stays within the handlebar line. After installation, still test the steering at full lock on both sides and check that the mirrors, cables, and controls do not touch.

Are the accessories shown in the photos included?

No. LOBOO specifies that its images are for illustrative purposes only: the panniers, crash bars, and auxiliary lights shown in the installation photos are not included in this set.

How do you clean them?

Water and mild soap. Avoid solvents on the clear deflector, as they can cloud it. After an impact, check the brackets, clamps, and bump stops before getting back on the road.
