Anti-vibration motorcycle smartphone mount, with or without wireless charging

They are two independent choices. The first is whether you want the charging module: with it, if you use your phone as a navigator for hours and need to power it; without it, if your phone lasts long enough or you already have a USB outlet on board.

The second is the mount, which should be chosen by measuring the tube with calipers: handlebar Ø 22/25/28/32 mm, GPS bar Ø 12/13 mm, mirror stem Ø up to 10.2 mm. The base cannot be replaced after purchase, so this is the choice worth spending two minutes on. If you’re unsure, send us the make, model, and year.

The side clamps adjust from 136.5 to 184.5 mm apart and accommodate phones from 65 to 98 mm wide, 125 to 170 mm long, and up to 13 mm thick. Always measure with the case already fitted: that’s what causes compatibility issues in most cases. Outside these limits, the clamps won’t close properly and the phone won’t stay secured.

It happens often: on many handlebars, the section is thicker in the center, near the clamp, and narrows toward the grips. The clamp version includes four bushings for 22, 25, 28, and 32 mm, so all four diameters are covered by the package and there is no adapter to buy separately: just fit the correct bushing.

However, measure with calipers at the exact point where the clamp would rest, not halfway along the handlebar. If the measurement at that point falls outside the four values, you have two alternatives without forcing anything: move a few centimeters to where the diameter is within range, or choose the version for a 12–13 mm GPS bar, which sits above the instruments and is almost always the solution for motorcycles with a large TFT display.

Yes, and in that case it’s more practical to choose a “Without charging” configuration directly: the structure, cushioning, snap locking, and rotation are identical, but the price drops by around thirty euros and there’s nothing to wire.

A version with a charging module also works as a mechanical support if you don’t connect it: only the charging function remains inactive. It makes sense if you plan to wire it at a later stage.

Versions with a charging module do not have an internal battery: without a connection to the vehicle’s electrical system, they are merely mechanical mounts. They must be powered at 12–16 V DC, ideally from a switched positive so they turn off with the motorcycle. If you already have an accessory socket or an available connection, wiring is immediate; if you are starting from scratch, it is best to have someone familiar with your model identify the switched-positive connection.

For 15 W wireless charging, no cable to the phone is needed. If you instead want to use the Type-C port and 24 W fast PD charging, the LOBOO right-angle cable is an optional accessory and must be purchased separately.

Yes, with thin plastic, rubber, or lightweight leather cases. The issue isn’t the thickness itself but the metal: magnetic rings, plates for magnetic mounts, PopSockets, and card holders with magnetic strips can shield the field or trigger foreign object detection, which stops charging. In that case, wired charging via the USB-C port remains available.

It is expected, and the manual explains it. Three causes, in order of frequency.

• Distance: There must be no more than 3 mm between the back of the phone and the module. A thick case can reduce performance to the point of stopping it completely.
• Metal: Magnetic rings, plates, and card holders on the back trigger foreign object detection, which interrupts charging.
• Temperature: Under the summer sun, the phone automatically reduces the power it accepts. iPhones have stricter thresholds and may lose charge even while charging. Everything returns to normal when the device cools down.

When you need to charge quickly, the 24 W Type-C port is the most reliable option: it is unaffected by distance or the case. If you are not using it, keep the silicone port cover closed.

It reduces it; it does not eliminate it. The three layers of silicone interrupt the direct vibration path between the handlebar and the phone, reducing both the impact of potholes and high-frequency buzzing. LOBOO itself, however, states that some residual vibration still reaches the device, and it can be felt on large-displacement single- and twin-cylinder motorcycles at low speeds. If you mount a smartphone with optical image stabilization, keep this in mind: no mount on the market guarantees complete elimination.

The phone is held mechanically at four points by the claws, with the upper one snapping shut: it is not a magnetic attachment and does not come loose from inertia. Release occurs only by pressing the PUSH button, located underneath the body and not reachable through accidental contact.

The advice, valid for any mount, is to adjust the side rails so that the phone fits without play. A device that moves around inside the claws is the most common cause of slipping out and premature wear of the pads.

It is an accessory designed to remain exposed on the handlebar, and its electronics incorporate protection against overheating and foreign objects, but LOBOO does not declare a certified IP rating for the PH02S. For accuracy, we do not assign one: normal rain while riding is not a problem, but immersion and pressure-washer cleaning are.

When washing the motorcycle, it is best to cover the mount or remove the phone and avoid directing the spray at the Type-C port.

The body measures 164.2 mm in width by 96.3 mm in height, with a depth of 80.5 mm. The projection from the mounting point is approximately 60 mm for the clamp version and approximately 72 mm for the mirror-joint version.

On a maxi enduro, when mounted on the handlebars, it remains below the dashboard’s line of sight. If your motorcycle has a large TFT display and little space in front, the GPS bar version is almost always the best solution because it sits above the instruments rather than in front of them.

It depends on the mounting option you choose, because each configuration has its own distinct set.

• Handlebar version: bracket, clamp, M6 nut with washer, four 22, 25, 28, and 32 mm bushings, and a 3 mm Allen key.
• 13 mm bar version: bracket, support arm, connecting plate, four M4×20 screws, and a 3 mm Allen key.
• Mirror version: bracket, articulated support arm, M6 nut, M6×16 and M6×22 screws, and 5 and 3 mm Allen keys.
• Charging versions only: the charging module with its wiring harness and eight cable ties.

All versions include the multilingual installation manual, including Italian. The angled Type-C cable, which is a separate accessory, is not included, nor are bars or crossbars: if you choose the GPS bar version, your motorcycle must already have one.

The necessary keys are included in the package: a 3 mm Allen key for the handlebar and bar versions, and 5 mm and 3 mm Allen keys for the mirror version. Nothing else is needed.

• M6 nut of the handlebar clamp: 12 N·m. The manual explicitly warns that excessive torque can strip or break the nut.
• M4×20 screws of the bracket for the 13 mm bar: 3 N·m.
• M6×16 and M6×22 screws of the mirror bracket: 10 N·m.
• Adjustment screws for the side slides, on all versions: 1.5 N·m, with threadlocker on the threads and the slides positioned symmetrically.

LOBOO recommends not tightening everything fully right away: assemble everything, check the position, then apply the threadlocker and tighten. It also recommends checking the screws periodically, because this is an accessory mounted on the handlebar.

If you configured it incorrectly, you have 14 days from receiving the last item in the order to exercise your right to return it. That’s why we insist on checking the tube size before purchase: the base cannot be replaced, so an incorrect fitting can only be resolved with a return, not a replacement part.

Yes: the mechanical gear rotates in clicks and holds its position without knobs to unscrew, so it can also be adjusted while wearing gloves. The obvious but often overlooked advice is to do this while stationary: rotating the mount while moving means taking one hand off the handlebars.

The PH02S uses mechanical clamps and silicone pads, with a body made of alloy and engineering plastic. The PH06 is the higher-end model: it has an aluminum body and magnetic damping, which makes the phone module “float” and absorbs high-frequency vibrations more effectively, at a higher price. If you travel many miles on rough roads or have a phone with optical stabilization that you want to protect, it’s worth the difference; for normal use, the PH02S is the balanced choice.
