The visibility package for the R 1300 GS: front and rear T3 modular turn signals, the CANsmart GEN II control unit that manages them, dedicated wiring, and mounting plates.

Kit contents: 1× rear T3 modular turn signals (DNLT310300), 1× front T3 modular turn signals (DNLT310200), 1× CANsmart GEN II control unit for BMW R1300GS (DNLWHS25900), 1× CANsmart wiring harness for T3 (DNLWHS13400), 1× T3 license plate mounting plates (LAHT310200), 1× T3 installation plates (LAHT310000).

The T3 pods use two separate rows of single-color LEDs: white daytime running light and amber turn signal, with a 180-degree viewing angle.

Stated compatibility: BMW R 1300 GS and R 1300 GS Adventure.

Turn signals that provide daytime running lights

T3 pods have two separate rows of single-color LEDs: a white one that works as a daytime running light and an amber one that flashes when you activate the turn signal. It is not a dual-color LED that dims both colors; they are two actual circuits, which is why they are still visible in bright sunlight.

The rear turn signals mount on the license plate bracket included in the kit and integrate the running light, brake light, and turn signal. 180-degree viewing angle: they remain visible even to those alongside you, not just those directly behind.

Replacing the original turn signals with LEDs usually requires load resistors to prevent the motorcycle's control unit from going haywire. Here, that's not an issue: the T3s are powered by the CANsmart through the dedicated DNLWHS13400 wiring harness, and the original system doesn't notice.

Are they type-approved?

DENALI declares E-Mark compliance for the daytime running light, turn signal, position light, and brake light functions of the T3 pods. Before replacing the original indicators, however, check the road code requirements regarding the positioning and distance between devices.

Are anti-flicker resistors needed?

No, not with this kit. Resistors are needed when LED turn signals are connected directly to the original wiring. Here, the pods are powered by the CANsmart control unit through the dedicated wiring, so the motorcycle does not detect the lower current draw and does not cause the signals to flash faster.

Does the kit cover the front and back?

Yes: the catalog configuration includes both the front DNLT310200 pods and the rear DNLT310300 pods, with their respective mounting plates. If you only need the rear one, contact us and we’ll put together a reduced package for you.

Premium upgrade on my BMW GS

I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch. The night visibility is impressive, and the "X-Ray" mode, as they call it, makes evening riding much safer.
