Everything you need to know before ordering

Compatibility, included items, installation, and documents: below is every detail verified against the official Barkbusters documentation.

Description Barkbusters BHG-067 handguard mounting kit for Ducati Scrambler 1100 and Desert Sled

The BHG-067 is the mounting structure that Barkbusters designed for the handlebars of the Ducati Scrambler 1100 and second-generation Scramblers. It is the aluminum base on which the handguards are mounted: the protective plastics are not included and must be selected separately.

This reference is being phased out. The current catalog code is the black BHG-067-BK version, which has the same fitment and structure. While stocks last, this version remains available for purchase.

Key features

  • Two mounting points: the bar anchors to the end of the handlebar and to a clamp on the straight section. This is the configuration the manufacturer specifies for impact protection; the single-point configuration, the other configuration in the range, is intended only for wind and weather protection.
  • Dedicated multi-fit clamps, one left and one right, with connectors designed for each side.
  • Heat-treated aluminum wraparound bar, which acts as a structural element in front of the levers.
  • Four series of plastics on the same base: JET, VPS, STORM, or CARBON, which can also be swapped later.

Compatibility

Brand Model Years Code
Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle from 2015 BHG-067
Ducati Scrambler Flat Track Pro 2016 BHG-067
Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled from 2017 BHG-067
Ducati Scrambler 1100 from 2018 BHG-067
Ducati Scrambler 1100 Special from 2018 BHG-067
Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport from 2018 BHG-067

Barkbusters states these compatibility details for motorcycles in their original factory configuration. An aftermarket handlebar may have different diameters and wall thicknesses, so the mounting must be checked before purchase. For the Scrambler Icon, Classic, Urban Enduro, and Sixty2, the correct code is not this one but BHG-060.

What to know before ordering if you have a Desert Sled

The official BHG-067 instructions state that on the Desert Sled, the clutch lever mount on the left side must be moved inward by 15 mm, leaving 35 mm of clearance from the switch housing. Before riding again, check that the lever can be pulled all the way without interference.

About the finish

Barkbusters does not explicitly state the finish of this reference, and we do not infer it from the code suffix because, for this brand, it is not a reliable indicator. If color is an important factor in your choice, ask us to confirm before ordering or choose the BHG-067-BK version, which the manufacturer states is black powder-coated.

What you will find in the package

  • Two aluminum bars, one left and one right
  • Two multi-fit clamps and two connectors, left and right
  • Ten screws and two M6 self-locking nuts
  • Two sets for mounting to the bar ends: collar, expander, clamp, and conical ring

The manufacturer states that some parts are not needed on all models: the collar is not used on the Desert Sled, and the clamp is not used on the 1100 models.

What is NOT included

  • Protective plastics, to be chosen from JET, VPS, STORM, and CARBON
  • Handlebar weights: they are not included in the official parts list

Documentation

Barkbusters publishes a single document for this kit, the one for the black version: INS-BHG-067-BK, attached to this listing. It covers the same kit and contains the parts list, tightening sequence, torque specifications, and the note about the Desert Sled. The manufacturer does not publish a separate document for this finish.

Why buy it from Endurrad

At Endurrad, you can find the structure and compatible plastics in one place, together with the compatibility table and the official PDF on the product page. If you have any doubts about your model year, equipment, or finish, ask before ordering: we prefer one extra email to a return.

Why choose it
Who is it recommended for

Assembly and documents
