Description DL4 auxiliary light kit with mount and wiring harness for Kawasaki KLR 650

Code DNL08KIT001 — DENALI code DNL.08.KIT.001

The essential lighting package for the Kawasaki KLR 650 from 2022 onward: two white DL4 auxiliary lights, the dedicated bracket that mounts them to the upper engine guard bar, and the wiring harness with a waterproof switch.

This is the entry-level option: switch the lights on and off with a waterproof button, without a controller and without touching the motorcycle's electronics. The DL4 lights already have DataDim technology built in, so adding the DNLWHS11000 controller later upgrades them to dual intensity.

Kit contents: 2× white DL4 LED auxiliary lights (DNLDL4050W), 1× auxiliary-light bracket for the KLR650 upper engine guard bar (LAH0810900), 1× driving-light wiring kit (DNLWHS12400).

Declared compatibility: Kawasaki KLR 650 from 2022 onward.

Why choose it

Who is it recommended for

A chi non vuole toccare l'elettronica. Su una moto semplice per vocazione come la KLR, è la soluzione coerente.

A chi vuole partire contenuto. Un terzo del costo del kit D7 PRO, e si aggiorna dopo.

Solo dal 2022. Sulla KLR 650E dal 2008 la staffa non va: i punti di fissaggio sono diversi.

How does it work, in detail?

  • Complete kit for the KLR 650 from 2022, including the engine guard bracket.
On the upper bar, where they don't get stones

On the upper bar, where they don't get stones

The included bracket is designed for the KLR's upper crash bar: it positions the auxiliary lights high, where the beam reaches farther and they are less exposed to debris kicked up by the front wheel. No drilling, no modifications.

It can be grown later

It can be grown later

The DL4s already have DataDim technology built in: today you turn them on with the button, but by adding the DNLWHS11000 controller, they switch between half and full intensity controlled by the high beam. You don't need to buy the lights again to make the upgrade.

Nothing to graft onto the system

Nothing to graft onto the system

The included wiring harness has a relay, fuse, and waterproof switch: it powers the spotlights from the battery without touching the motorcycle's electronics. On a KLR, which is inherently a simple motorcycle, it is the consistent solution.

FAQs

For more information, see our FAQ of frequently asked questions.

Do you need a controller?

No. The included wiring has a waterproof switch and powers the lights from the battery: you don't need a controller or to connect to the motorcycle's electronics. If you want dual intensity, you can add the DataDim DNLWHS11000 controller afterward.

Does it fit the 2008 KLR 650?

No. The included bracket is designed for the 2022-onward generation, which has a different frame and engine guard. Dedicated mounts are available for the 2008-2018 KLR 650E: write to us and we’ll put together the correct package for you.

What is the difference compared with the D7 PRO kit?

Spotlights and control. Here are the DL4s with an on-off button; the DNL08KIT002 kit includes the much more powerful D7 PROs, with the DialDim controller, which adjusts the intensity using a dial. The price difference is about one thousand euros.
