Description D7 PRO auxiliary light kit with collars and DialDim controller for Kawasaki KLR 650

Code DNL08KIT002C — DENALI code DNL.08.KIT.002C

The same flagship package for the Kawasaki KLR 650 from 2022 onward, with universal articulated clamps instead of the dedicated bracket: they clamp onto any bar from 21 to 29 mm and can be adjusted after installation.

Two D7 PRO dual-circuit lights and the DialDim controller specific to the KLR 650 Gen3, which puts all adjustments on a handlebar-mounted dial without connecting to the motorcycle's bus.

Kit includes: 2× D7 PRO lights with X-Lens system (DNLD7P050), 1× black articulated clamps for bars from 21 to 29 mm (LAH0010300B), 1× DialDim controller for KLR 650 (DNLWHS22700K).

The difference from the DNL08KIT002 kit is solely the mounting system: that kit has a bracket designed for the KLR, while this one has universal clamps.

Declared compatibility: Kawasaki KLR 650 from 2022 onward.

Why choose it

Who is it recommended for

How does it work, in detail?

  • The D7 PRO kit for the KLR 650 Gen3, with a rotary control.
Universal terminals, free mounting

Universal terminals, free mounting

The articulated clamps grip any bar from 21 to 29 mm and can be adjusted after installation: you can choose where to place the spotlights on the crash bar instead of following the fixed position of a dedicated bracket. Aim them while the motorcycle is stationary with the beam switched on.

Two lights within a single body

Two lights within a single body

The D7 PRO has two independent circuits in the same light: the central amber or yellow one and the outer white one. The quick-change X-Lens system lets you change the lens without disassembling the light, which is useful when switching from asphalt to dirt.

The DialDim, not the CANsmart

The DialDim, not the CANsmart

The included controller is the DialDim in the version specific to the KLR 650 Gen3: it does not connect to the motorcycle’s bus, but brings all adjustments to a handlebar knob. There is no CANsmart control unit for the KLR, and this is the solution provided by DENALI.

FAQs

For more information, see our FAQ of frequently asked questions.

Is this better, or the version with the dedicated bracket?

Only change the mounting attachment. These universal clamps fit 21 to 29 mm and let you choose where to position the auxiliary lights on the crash bars. The DNL08KIT002 kit instead includes a bracket designed for the KLR's upper bar, placing them in DENALI's intended position without having to adjust their orientation.

Which controller is included in this kit?

The DialDim specific to the KLR 650 Gen3 (DNLWHS22700K), not a CANsmart control unit. DENALI's official documentation identifies it as the DialDim, while some listings indicate the CANsmart: we followed the manufacturer, especially since there is no dedicated CANsmart for the KLR.

Do you already need to have a paramotor?

Yes. The included clamps attach to a tubular bar with a diameter of 21 to 29 mm. If your KLR doesn't have an engine guard, the DNL08KIT002 kit with the dedicated bracket is recommended, as it uses the motorcycle's mounting points.
