Complete kit for equipping the front end of the Honda Africa Twin 1100 Adventure Sports ES from 2020 to 2023: two DL4 auxiliary lights producing 3,400 lumens each, a mount designed for this version, and wiring with relay and switch. Together they produce 6,800 lumens, with a 333-meter range and a 64-meter width.

The DL4 lights use one-piece TIR optics and a sealed housing: fewer components, no gasket to fail, and IP68 and IP69K protection. The clear lens is approved under ECE R149 as a high beam.

Unlike the kit with a CANsmart controller, this kit does not require lifting the fuel tank to access the IMU: the wiring connects directly to the battery. The lights feature DataDim technology and remain ready for a controller to be added later.

È la differenza che pesa di più su questa moto. Il kit con centralina CANsmart richiede di raggiungere la centralina IMU sotto la parte posteriore del serbatoio, quindi sella, pannelli e sollevamento del serbatoio: il montaggio più impegnativo della gamma.

Qui il cablaggio va direttamente alla batteria. L'installazione si riduce a supporto, faretti e collegamento.

I DL4 hanno la tecnologia DataDim: il terzo filo del connettore porta il segnale di regolazione. Con il cablaggio universale di questo kit i faretti funzionano acceso e spento da interruttore, ma restano pronti per un controller.

Aggiungendo poi un DialDim o la centralina CANsmart per l'Africa Twin passi alla regolazione dai comandi originali, senza cambiare faretti né supporto.

Do I need to lift the tank as with the CANsmart kit?

No, and that is the difference that matters most. The Premium kit requires access to the IMU control unit beneath the rear of the tank; here, the wiring runs directly to the battery. Installation is limited to mounting the bracket, installing the lights, and connecting them.

Is it suitable for the standard Africa Twin?

The included bracket is designed for the 2020–2023 CRF1100L Adventure Sports ES. On other versions of the CRF1100L, the auxiliary lights and wiring remain the same, but a different mounting bracket is required.

What is the DataDim technology in DL4 spotlights?

It is the DENALI system that allows you to adjust the intensity of the auxiliary lights via a dedicated third wire when they are connected to a DENALI controller such as the DialDim or CANsmart. With only this kit’s universal wiring harness, the auxiliary lights operate simply as on or off, but they remain ready for use if you add a controller in the future.

Premium upgrade on my BMW GS

I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
