Complete front-end setup for BMW R 1300 GS from 2024 and R 1300 GS Adventure from 2025: two D7 PRO auxiliary lights delivering 11,900 lumens each, the collars for the crash bars, the specific CANsmart GEN II controller, and the extension cables.

The D7 PRO has two independent circuits in the same housing, and the controller uses them for different purposes: separate right- and left-side central visibility optics, synchronized with the turn signals, and an external white circuit that follows the high and low beams. They are two lights in a single auxiliary light.

The configuration uses three of the four circuits; the fourth remains available for adding a horn, brake light, or a second set of auxiliary lights later.

Who is it recommended for

A chi allestisce la R 1300 GS o GS Adventure una volta sola e bene, e vuole che tutto si comandi dai pulsanti originali senza interruttori aggiunti al manubrio.

Se cerchi qualcosa di più semplice ed economico, il kit DL4 con cablaggio universale dà 6.800 lumen e si monta senza toccare l'elettronica, ma rinuncia a regolazione, sincronia col faro e funzioni legate alle frecce.

How does it work, in detail?

The D7 PRO has two independent circuits in the same housing: the central optics and the outer optics. In this kit, the control unit keeps them separate and uses them for two different purposes. The central visibility optics, amber or yellow, are divided between the right and left sides and flash in sync with the original indicators. The outer white circuit follows the high and low beams at the intensity you set.

During the day, you are visible and signal turns with a light no one can ignore; at night, you have 11,900 lumens per light and a 380-meter range that follows the headlight without touching anything.

The standard configuration uses three of the four circuits on the control unit. The fourth remains available, already wired and already paid for: when you want to add a SoundBomb horn, a B6 brake light, or a second set of auxiliary lights, you won’t need to replace the control unit or add relays.

Each circuit supports 10 A continuously and can be reassigned using the CANsmart Accessory Manager software, so you can keep your options open even two years from now.

The control unit plugs into the 6-pin DWA anti-theft connector under the rear seat: a different location from that of the R 1200 and R 1250, which use the 4-pin RDC connector.

And there is a protection feature the others do not have: with the ignition on but the engine stopped, the auxiliary lights remain off; they activate after two seconds of stable engine speed and stay on for five seconds after the stop button is pressed. This is not a fault; it prevents the battery from being drained.

Does it also fit the R 1300 GS Adventure?

Yes. DENALI states that the kit is compatible with the R 1300 GS from 2024 and with the R 1300 GS Adventure from 2025. The control unit is the same for both.

Why do the spotlights stay off when the control panel is on?

It is not a malfunction: the control unit of the R 1300 GS has a protection feature that keeps the highest-consumption circuits switched off until the engine is running. They switch on after two seconds of stable engine speed and remain on for five seconds after the stop button is pressed. This prevents the battery from being drained while the motorcycle is stationary.

Do the collars mount onto the original crash bars?

The included articulated clamp closes onto bars with a diameter of 21 to 29 mm, making it suitable for most stock and aftermarket engine guards. Measure your tube before ordering: outside that range, a different mount is required.
