Description SoundBomb horn kit with bracket and wiring harness for Yamaha Ténéré 700

Code DNL06KIT004 — DENALI code DNL.06.KIT.004

Complete kit for installing a 120 dB SoundBomb Split air horn on the Yamaha Ténéré 700 from 2019 to 2025: horn, dedicated bracket, and wiring with relay and fuse.

That is about twenty decibels louder than a standard disc horn, which on a logarithmic scale means a sound that DENALI claims is four times louder. The split version has a separate compressor and acoustic unit, which can be mounted up to 90 cm apart: on the Ténéré, which has little space at the front, this is precisely what makes installation possible.

If you already have a CANsmart controller, the horn connects to its dedicated circuit without a relay or additional wiring.

Why choose it

  • Staffa dedicata compresa, nessuna foratura.
  • Con centralina CANsmart si collega senza relè.
Who is it recommended for

How does it work, in detail?

  • Split air horn, designed to fit on the narrow front end of the Ténéré.
Four times the horn you have now

Four times the horn you have now

120 decibels measured at one meter, compared with approximately 100 for a standard disc horn. The scale is logarithmic, so twenty additional decibels are not a minor tweak: DENALI claims the SoundBomb is four times louder.

Duplicated, and that’s why it fits there

Duplicated, and that’s why it fits there

On the Ténéré, space at the front is limited. The Split version has a separate compressor and horn unit, connected by a tube and mountable up to 90 cm apart: this lets you use two small spaces instead of searching for one large one.

The compressor cylinder must be mounted vertically, with a maximum tolerance of 25 degrees, protected from splashes.

With the CANsmart, a relay isn’t needed

With the CANsmart, a relay isn’t needed

The SoundBomb draws 20 A and cannot be powered by the original electrical system: the included wiring harness is used to route it through a relay.

If you already have a CANsmart control unit on the Ténéré, connect the horn to its dedicated circuit: green wire to positive, black to negative, and that's it.

FAQs

For more information, see our FAQ of frequently asked questions.

Is there room on the Ténéré for an air horn?

Yes, and that’s why this kit uses the Split version. The compressor and acoustic unit are separate and connected by a tube, so they can be installed in two small spaces instead of requiring one large space. The included bracket is designed for the Ténéré 700 from 2019 to 2025.

Can I mount it together with the DENALI lights?

Yes. If you have a CANsmart control unit, the horn uses its dedicated circuit, without a relay. If, instead, the auxiliary lights are powered by a universal wiring harness, the horn uses its own harness, including the relay supplied in the kit: the two systems remain independent.

How do you pass the pipe between the two units?

Avoiding areas of intense heat such as the engine head and exhaust, cut the hose to size and fit the ends onto the connectors. A tip from the manual that makes a difference: heat the ends of the hose with a heat gun before fitting them, otherwise they offer a lot of resistance.
