Complete kit for Husqvarna Norden 901: the pair of JP901B side frames with mounting hardware, plus the two PIKE TRACKER aluminum cases with capacities of 35 and 30 liters, in the finish of your choice. One order, nothing else to match.

Why the two sides have different capacities

The right case holds 30 liters instead of 35 because it is shaped around the exhaust: this is the version LOBOO calls exhaust avoidance, with a recessed lower wall. It prevents the motorcycle from becoming wider than necessary on the hot side, and the difference is noticeable in tight passages. The left case, without that limitation, retains its full 35-liter capacity.

How much it holds and how much it can weigh

LOBOO specifies a maximum load of 10 kg per side case. The pair weighs 11.6 kg empty, excluding the frames: 6 kg for the left case and 5.6 kg for the right.

  • Left P35L — interior 451 x 227 x 381 mm, external dimensions 498 x 268 x 408 mm
  • Right P30R — interior 451 x 227/167 x 381 mm, external dimensions 498 x 244/208 x 408 mm

The two measurements for the right case refer to the upper and lower sections, where it recesses to clear the exhaust. These dimensions are declared by the manufacturer based on manual measurements, so there is some tolerance.

LOBOO states that the series is water- and dust-resistant, but does not publish an IP rating: we do not list one because it is not a manufacturer-certified specification.

What is not included

The top case and its JP901W plate are purchased separately: the two systems are complementary and can be mounted together without interference, so the plate can also be added later. Each case has its own sensor light in the lid: the kit includes two, one for each side.

Alternatives for the same frames

The JP901B frames also support the WANDERER soft cases with capacities of 40+30 liters, if you prefer a lighter solution: we verified this compatibility ourselves, based on the 18 mm tube requirement that LOBOO specifies for those cases. If you already have the frames, you can purchase only the cases from the PIKE TRACKER series page. However, LOBOO cases can only be mounted on LOBOO frames: they are not interchangeable with mounts from other brands.

Maintenance

Wash with a water jet held at least one meter away, use a neutral detergent, and dry immediately afterward. Avoid acidic or alkaline products. Note the number stamped on the key: it is needed to make a copy.

The complete system for the Norden 901: JP901B frames plus a pair of PIKE TRACKER aluminum panniers, in the finish of your choice. No need to search for individual parts.

The difference in capacity between the two sides is due to the exhaust routing: the narrower right pannier keeps the motorcycle compact in tight passages.

The exhaust runs along the right side of the Norden 901. The narrower case leaves the necessary space and prevents the motorcycle from becoming too wide on that side.

It’s a design choice, not a limitation: in tight passages and on trails, you can feel the difference.

The PIKE TRACKER cases are made of high-strength aluminum alloy, with perimeter seals and keyed locks on each case.

It is the most popular series in the LOBOO range: the same case can be mounted on more than fifteen different motorcycles by changing only the frame.

This kit covers the side panels. The JP901W plate is required for the top case; it mounts on the rear subframe and is available on a separate page.

The two finishes make no technical difference: same aluminum, same locks, same sealing. The choice is purely aesthetic.

If you prefer the semi-rigid cases in the future, the same frames support WANDERER 40+30-liter cases: you change the cases, not the structure. It’s a compatibility we verified ourselves, based on the 18 mm tube requirement that LOBOO specifies for those cases.

What exactly does the kit include?

Three items: the pair of JP901B side frames designed for the Norden 901, the 35-liter P35L case for the left side, and the 30-liter P30R case for the right. Nothing else needs to be added to get started.

The top case and JP901W mounting plate are separate items, for those who want to switch to a three-case configuration.

Does it also fit the Norden 901 Expedition?

The frame manual lists the Husqvarna Norden 901 from 2023 onward and does not mention the Expedition version.

For a kit of this value, we would rather tell you than make assumptions: if you have the Expedition, write to us before ordering and we will ask the distributor for confirmation.

Why 35 liters on the left and 30 on the right?

For the exhaust tip. The right pannier is shaped: it measures 227 mm at the top and 167 mm at the bottom, so it clears the exhaust without making the motorcycle wider.

The alternative would be to equalize the volumes by widening both sides: five extra liters and several more centimeters of bulk, which you really notice in tight spaces. The orientation cannot be reversed: the bulkier luggage goes on the left.

How much does the installed kit weigh, and how far does it protrude?

The empty cases alone weigh 11.6 kg: 6 kg for the 35-liter case and 5.6 kg for the 30-liter case. The frame and luggage must be added to these weights.

With the handles and hardware installed, the external length of each case is 498 mm: this is the measurement to use to determine whether the motorcycle will fit through where you usually keep it.

Is the kit a better deal, or should I buy the frame and cases separately?

The kit exists to simplify your purchase: on a single page, you’ll find the combination already verified for your motorcycle, without having to cross-reference the codes.

If you already have the cases, or prefer the WANDERER soft cases, you can find the JP901B frame alone on a separate page at Endurrad.

Do the suitcases lock with a key?

Yes, with a cylinder lock protected from water and dust. The key is retractable and has a number stamped on it: if you lose all of them, that number allows you to request a duplicate without replacing the lock.
