How to check compatibility

It does not depend on the motorcycle model. The only relevant data is the diameter of the grip you already have installed: the clamp adapts with continuous adjustment between 29 and 35 mm, an interval that covers the standard grips of the vast majority of motorcycles.

Measure it with a caliper, or with a tape measure around the grip, dividing the circumference by 3.14. If the value is at the limit of the range, write to us before ordering.

It is the right choice if:

  • Your motorcycle does not have standard heated grips and you do not want a permanent modification
  • You use your motorcycle for winter commuting, where cold hands are a daily problem
  • You have multiple motorcycles and want to be able to move the accessory from one to another
  • You do not want to give up the original grips, which remain where they are

To consider if:

  • You have handguards with a narrow attachment near the control: the grip cover adds a few millimeters to the diameter
  • You already have spotlights, a USB socket, and heated clothing on the same system: check the alternator's output
Documents and manufacturer

Assembly

  • Measure the diameter of the grip: it must be between 29 and 35 mm.
  • Mount the clamp on the handlebar by inserting the pin into the appropriate position among the four available, then tighten the screw with the 2 mm Allen key until it no longer slips.
  • Distinguish between right and left and wrap each grip cover in the direction indicated by the manual, with the input cable at the lowest point.
  • Connect positive with fuse, negative, and ACC line to 12-15 V, with the rectifier module in line. Fully insert the connectors and tighten the nuts.
  • Secure the throttle side cable with the supplied silicone ties: it must not be under tension when you rotate the grip.
  • Test the steering to full lock on both sides and check that nothing touches.

Use

  • When the ignition is on, the red LED at the bottom flashes: this is the standby status.
  • One press turns on level 1, subsequent presses increase the level. The steady lit LEDs indicate the level: one, two, three or four.
  • Long press the button, or turn off the ignition, to switch off. Right and left are controlled separately.

Manufacturer's Warnings

  • In cold weather, a numb hand may not perceive the temperature well: start from a low level to avoid burns from prolonged contact.
  • Product intended only for thermal motorcycles with a 12-15 V DC system.
  • Installation not in accordance with the manual may damage the product and invalidate the manufacturer's free warranty. The 24-month legal warranty remains unaffected.

Maintenance

  • Clean with water and neutral soap. Avoid solvents and pressure washers pointed at the connectors.
  • At the end of the season, remove the grip covers by disconnecting the screw connectors: the system remains ready for the following autumn.
  • Heated grips improve comfort but do not replace adequate winter gloves.

A fine inverno si toglie in pochi minuti, e la moto torna esattamente com'era. È anche il motivo per cui può passare da una moto all'altra.

Al minimo assorbe 10 W, al massimo 28 W. È un consumo che quasi tutti gli impianti moto reggono senza problemi, ma se hai già faretti, presa USB e gilet riscaldato collegati, vale la pena fare due conti sulla resa dell'alternatore.

Un sensore di vibrazione capisce quando la moto è ferma: dopo cinque minuti taglia l'alimentazione da solo. È la risposta al problema classico di ogni accessorio riscaldato, cioè dimenticarlo acceso e ritrovare la batteria a terra.

Sul cavo c'è anche una protezione che interrompe il circuito se la tensione supera i 24 V.

Il morsetto con il pulsante resta verso l'interno, vicino ai comandi, dove si raggiunge con il pollice senza lasciare la presa. Il cavo scende lungo il manubrio e va all'impianto.

Se hai paramani stretti o contrappesi voluminosi, controlla lo spazio prima di ordinare: il copri manopola aggiunge qualche millimetro di diametro.

Come faccio a sapere se stanno sulla mia moto?

Non dipende dal modello di moto ma dal diametro della manopola che hai già montata: il morsetto si adatta fra 29 e 35 mm. Misuralo con un calibro, o in mancanza con un metro da sarto attorno alla manopola dividendo poi per 3,14.

Le manopole di serie della grande maggioranza delle moto rientrano in questo intervallo. Se il tuo valore è al limite, scrivici prima di ordinare.

Devo togliere le manopole originali?

No, ed è il senso di questo prodotto. L'H80 si avvolge sopra le manopole che hai già e si stringe con il morsetto. Niente colla, niente riscaldatori da infilare sotto la gomma, niente smontaggio dei blocchetti.

Quanto scaldano davvero?

I quattro livelli dichiarati sono 38, 45, 52 e 59 °C. Sono misure fatte in laboratorio da LOBOO a moto ferma con 5 °C ambiente.

In marcia il vento e la conducibilità della manopola sotto abbassano il valore reale, e lo spessore dei guanti cambia quanto ne senti. Prendili come riferimento fra un livello e l'altro, non come temperatura garantita sulla mano.

Consumano molto? Rischio di scaricare la batteria?

Assorbono da 10 W al livello più basso a 28 W al più alto, alimentati a 12-15 V dall'impianto della moto. È un consumo che quasi tutti gli impianti reggono.

Contro la dimenticanza c'è un sensore di vibrazione: se la moto resta ferma cinque minuti, l'H80 si spegne da solo. Se però hai già faretti, presa USB e gilet riscaldato sullo stesso impianto, vale la pena verificare la resa dell'alternatore.

Posso regolare le due manopole in modo diverso?

Sì. Ogni copri manopola ha il suo pulsante e il suo livello: puoi tenere la destra più calda della sinistra, o spegnerne una sola. Serve più di quanto sembri, perché la mano dell'acceleratore prende più vento e su molte moto il calore del motore arriva solo da un lato.

Resistono alla pioggia e al lavaggio?

Il grado dichiarato è IP67: nessuna infiltrazione di polvere e tenuta all'immersione temporanea. Pioggia, strade bagnate e lavaggi normali non sono un problema. Evita l'idropulitrice puntata da vicino sui connettori.

Si possono togliere d'estate?

Sì, ed è uno dei vantaggi rispetto alle manopole riscaldate integrate. Il cavo e il copri manopola sono pezzi separati con connettori a vite: sfilando i copri manopole l'impianto resta al suo posto, pronto per l'autunno successivo.

Per lo stesso motivo puoi spostarli su un'altra moto, se il diametro delle manopole rientra nell'intervallo.

Funzionano anche con i paramani montati?

Di norma sì, e anzi paramani e copri manopole riscaldate lavorano bene insieme: i primi tolgono il vento, i secondi scaldano. Il copri manopola però aggiunge qualche millimetro di diametro, quindi se hai paramani con attacco stretto vicino al comando conviene controllare lo spazio prima di ordinare.

Come si collegano all'impianto?

Servono tre collegamenti: positivo con fusibile, negativo e linea ACC, cioè il filo a 12-15 V che si alimenta a quadro acceso e si stacca a quadro spento. Il modulo raddrizzatore va in linea fra l'impianto e i due copri manopole.

Il manuale precisa che il prodotto è destinato alle sole moto termiche con impianto a 12-15 V in corrente continua. Sul cavo c'è una protezione che interrompe il circuito oltre i 24 V.

Cosa c'è nella confezione?

Il manuale elenca sette voci: 1 assieme copri manopole riscaldate (destro e sinistro), 1 modulo raddrizzatore, 2 morsetti, 8 fascette, 2 fascette in silicone, 2 viti M3×16 e 2 viti M3×18, 1 chiave a brugola da 2 mm.

Le fascette in silicone servono a fissare il cavo del lato acceleratore: il manuale chiede di usare quelle originali, perché un danno al cavo per installazione errata non rientra in garanzia.

Il pulsante si raggiunge guidando?

Il morsetto va posizionato verso l'interno del manubrio, vicino al blocchetto dei comandi: il pulsante resta sotto il pollice e si cambia livello senza lasciare la presa. Quattro LED indicano il livello attivo.

Quanto durano a batteria spenta o con la moto ferma?

Non hanno batteria propria: prendono corrente dall'impianto della moto e funzionano solo quando questo è alimentato. Se la moto resta ferma per cinque minuti il sensore di vibrazione li spegne da solo, proprio per non lasciare un assorbimento attivo.

Come si puliscono?

Acqua e sapone neutro con un panno morbido. Il grado IP67 regge il lavaggio normale, ma evita solventi sulla superficie di presa e non puntare l'idropulitrice da vicino sui connettori. Prima di rimontarli dopo una pausa stagionale, controlla che i contatti siano asciutti e puliti.

The bag is of excellent quality and comes with all the necessary straps and a shoulder strap. The two methods of attaching it to the motorcycle are well designed and offer a range of options. I will also buy the larger model.

I saw the Endurrad ad on Facebook and immediately set about getting Loboo inflatable bags for my motorcycle...... But due to a technical error, I entered the wrong information on the order, which had already been shipped.
