  • First wet, then use water and neutral detergent with a soft cloth. Avoid solvents, alcohol and rough cloths: they irreversibly dull the polycarbonate.
  • After a significant impact, check the lens against the light: cracks or extensive dulling alter the beam and require replacement.

La struttura resta avvitata alla moto e la lente si solleva su un aggancio magnetico. Nessuna vite da svitare al bordo strada, nessuna brugola da cercare nella borsa: sollevi, passi il panno sul faro e sulla faccia interna dello schermo, riappoggi.

Sembra un dettaglio e invece decide tutto. Una protezione che per essere pulita va smontata resta sporca, e lo sporco fra schermo e faro non si vede finche' non guidi al buio e ti accorgi che la luce non e' più quella. Sulla Adventure, che macina trasferimenti e piste, la differenza si accumula in fretta.

Lo schermo è modellato sui dati originali della R 1300 GS Adventure dal 2024: il montaggio è lossless sui punti esistenti, senza fori né tagli, e il profilo segue le linee della moto invece di sovrapporsi.

Policarbonato ad alta resistenza con ottima trasparenza: regge urti e vibrazioni dell'uso touring e adventure mantenendo la resa luminosa del faro. Sgancio rapido per la pulizia periodica.

Le protezioni faro economiche sono in acrilico: costa poco ed e' trasparente, ma sotto una sassata si apre. Il policarbonato assorbe l'energia deformandosi. Si segna, non esplode. E' lo stesso motivo per cui nessun casco omologato monta una visiera in acrilico.

LOBOO dichiara maggiore stabilita' e durata nelle condizioni di guida dure: e' esattamente il terreno della Adventure, dove il pietrisco arriva alla velocita' del mezzo che ti precede.

Mettere uno schermo davanti a un gruppo ottico e' facile. Metterlo senza rovinare il disegno del fascio e' un'altra cosa: uno schermo che diffonde la luce sfuoca il taglio dell'anabbagliante e ti restituisce un alone al posto della strada.

La lente e' lavorata per l'alta trasmissione luminosa con distorsione minima, cosi' la resa resta vicina all'originale. Detto onestamente: una parte di luce viene assorbita comunque, e con le finiture Light Grey e Chrome la riduzione e' visibile. Se guidi molto di notte, la Trasparente non ha alternative.

Trasparente, Light Grey e Chrome hanno identica costruzione: cambia solo il trattamento della lente, quindi la scelta e' puramente tua.

La Trasparente sparisce sul muso e lascia intatta la resa notturna. La Light Grey da' un effetto fume' che si sposa con il frontale scuro della Adventure. La Chrome e' la più vistosa, riflette e cambia il carattere della moto: e' la scelta di chi la moto la guarda anche da ferma. Nelle foto di questa scheda le trovi tutte e tre montate, cosi' decidi guardando invece di immaginare.

Posso usarla su una R 1300 GS non Adventure?

No, e non e' una questione di pochi millimetri: il frontale della Adventure ha un disegno proprio e punti di aggancio diversi da quelli della GS standard. Questa e' la CDBH151, disegnata sulla Adventure dal 2024.

Per la R 1300 GS standard serve la CDBH131, che trovi in pagina separata. Se non sei sicuro di quale delle due moto hai, mandaci una foto del frontale o il numero di telaio e te lo confermiamo prima dell'ordine: e' il modo piu' rapido per non sbagliare acquisto.

Come si pulisce il faro con la protezione montata?

Non serve smontare niente. La struttura resta fissata alla moto e la lente si solleva grazie a un aggancio magnetico: la apri con una mano, passi il panno sul faro e sulla faccia interna dello schermo, la riappoggi.

E' la differenza rispetto alle protezioni avvitate, che per essere pulite vanno smontate con gli attrezzi. Nella pratica nessuno lo fa, e insetti e polvere restano intrappolati fra schermo e faro per tutta la stagione: la luce cala progressivamente e te ne accorgi solo la prima volta che guidi al buio su una strada non illuminata.

Toglie luminosita' al faro?

Qualunque schermo interposto assorbe una parte della luce, e sarebbe scorretto dirti il contrario. Con la lente Trasparente la perdita e' contenuta e in guida non si percepisce: il policarbonato e' lavorato per l'alta trasmissione luminosa con distorsione minima, proprio per non sfuocare il taglio dell'anabbagliante.

Con Light Grey e soprattutto Chrome la riduzione e' reale e visibile: sono scelte estetiche, non tecniche. Se fai molti chilometri di notte fuori dai centri abitati, prendi la Trasparente.

Serve forare o modificare qualcosa sulla moto?

No. Le staffe metalliche si fissano ai punti di ancoraggio gia' presenti sul frontale, senza forature ne' tagli, e sono dimensionate per tenere lo schermo fermo anche alle andature autostradali, dove una protezione mal vincolata inizia a vibrare.

Il montaggio e' completamente reversibile: se rivendi la moto smonti tutto e non resta traccia. LOBOO fornisce una guida di installazione dedicata, che possiamo mandarti anche prima dell'acquisto se vuoi valutare l'operazione con calma.

Si riga, si opacizza o si crepa con il tempo?

Il policarbonato e' piu' tenero del vetro, quindi rigarsi puo' rigarsi. Nella pratica pero' quasi tutti i segni non arrivano dalla strada ma dalla pulizia: panno asciutto passato su una superficie impolverata, spugne ruvide, e soprattutto prodotti con alcol o solventi, che opacizzano il materiale in modo irreversibile e molto piu' in fretta dei raggi UV.

Bagna sempre prima, poi acqua e detergente neutro con un panno morbido. Sotto una sassata forte la lente si segna o al limite si crepa, ma non esplode in schegge come farebbe l'acrilico: e' il pezzo sacrificale, ed e' il suo mestiere. Dopo un impatto importante guardala controluce, perche' una crepa estesa altera il fascio e a quel punto va sostituita.

I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
