Auxiliary motorcycle lights with two-color daytime running light and dual beam

The LOBOO technical panel specifies the L7X for internal-combustion motorcycles with a 12 V direct-current electrical system, and indicates an operating voltage between 12 and 15 V. It is not specified for electric vehicles or systems with a different voltage: if you have an electric motorcycle or a scooter with a non-standard electrical system, contact us before ordering.

Otherwise, the L7X is universal. It is not tied to a specific motorcycle model, but to the diameter of the bar on which you mount it.

The clamps supplied with the L7X fit 22, 25, and 28 mm bars: the clamp is 28 mm, and the two pairs of bushings reduce it to 25 and 22 mm. These are the typical sizes for handlebars, dual-sport bars, and wide adventure bars.

For 32 and 38 mm bars, such as the engine guard tubes on large enduro bikes, the LOBOO technical panel indicates that the clamps must be purchased separately: they are not included in the package. Measure the diameter at the exact point where you want to mount the light, because on many bars the cross-section changes along their length.

The L7X assembly manual lists fifteen items. The box contains the two light bodies marked L and R, four M3×5 screws, two 25 mm bushings, two 22 mm bushings, two 28 mm clamps, two M8 nuts, the complete wiring harness with switch, ten 150×3.6 mm cable ties, and a pair of complimentary work gloves.

The accessory kit adds two M8×40 screws, two M8 washers, a 6 mm Allen key, a 2 mm Allen key, an O-ring, and threadlocker. The LOBOO quick-release mounts are not included and remain a separate accessory.

Yes. The L7X manual instructs you to connect the positive cable to the battery’s positive terminal and the negative cable to the negative terminal, and expressly prohibits connecting them to other motorcycle cables or modifying the supplied wiring.

Three additional connections are then required: the ACC cable to an ignition-switched fuse, identified with a multimeter by finding the one that reads 12–15 V with the ignition on and 0 V with the ignition off; the horn cable, which enables flashing; and the two turn-signal cables to the positive terminals of the original indicators, for synchronized DRL operation.

The L7X rotary switch attaches to the clutch lever and adjusts eight brightness levels. The main selector turns on the headlights and controls switching between low and high beam.

Flashing is activated by holding the horn button for more than 0.2 seconds. If the flash and horn do not activate together, the manual says to turn off the ACC and move the wire to the other horn terminal.

The DRL ring connects to the original turn signal circuit: when you signal left, the left headlight's DRL flashes amber, and vice versa.

It works with the DRL set to either white or amber. Make sure your motorcycle's electrical system is 12 V DC before purchasing.

The LOBOO panel compares three values: 12,000 lumens for the L7X, 1,500 lumens for an original motorcycle LED headlight, and 3,000 lumens for an original car LED headlight.

The 12,000 lumens are stated as the maximum output, and the eight adjustment levels are specifically intended to avoid keeping it at maximum all the time. The manufacturer does not specify whether the value refers to the pair or to a single headlight.

Yes. The L7X has its own European type approval, number E57*149R01/05*0466*00, issued on April 16, 2026, by the Type Approval Authority of the Republic of San Marino under UN Regulation No. 149, 01 series of amendments, supplement 05. The certificate can be downloaded from the product page.

The approval number and classes are marked on the housing of each headlamp: WC-DS for the dipped beam and HR for the high beam. Be careful not to confuse it with certificate E57*149R00/06*1142, which covers the L7S and L7 variants but not this model: until April 2026, the L7X did not yet have its own type approval.

We don’t know, and we prefer to say so. Neither the installation manual nor LOBOO’s technical panel states the weight, wiring length, or operating temperature of the L7X: reporting an unverified figure would be worse than admitting that the information is missing.

Regarding the length, the manual only says that if the supplied cable is not long enough, an extension cord must be purchased and the original cable must not be modified. If you need the measurement before purchasing, ask us and we’ll measure it on a unit in stock.
