Description Expandable 7–9 L motorcycle tank bag with magnetic attachment
The LOBOO BTB15BK tank bag starts at 7 liters and expands to 9 by opening the expansion zipper. It measures 290 × 230 × 170 mm and weighs 890 g: it is the largest of LOBOO’s expandable tank bags, designed to cover longer trips, not just the daily commute.
Four magnets and four spring-loaded teeth
The base attaches magnetically at four points to the ring mounted around the tank cap: bring the bag close and it aligns itself, without having to center it by eye while wearing gloves. However, it is not the magnets that hold it in place, but four spring-loaded teeth that snap into position and lock it mechanically.
To remove it, pull the auxiliary quick-release strap and lift: LOBOO states that it takes one second to mount and two seconds to remove. At the gas station, you can take it off without getting off the motorcycle.
The base slides back and forth
Lift the base’s quick-release fastening buckle, move the magnetic plate forward or backward until it is in the right position, and close the buckle again. No tools required. This is the same adjustment as on the BTB10, and it matters even more on a 9-liter bag: if the handlebar touches the bag at full lock, move the base backward instead of giving up on the bag.
The mounting ring is required
The bag does not attach directly to the tank and does not use straps: it attaches to an adapter ring screwed onto the fuel cap, sold separately and specific to the make, model, and cap type. Use the selector at the top of this page to find the correct code and add it to your order.
LOBOO documents four types of ring: circular, circular with reverse mounting, shaped, and with 3M adhesive. The type depends on your motorcycle’s fuel cap and is already determined by the code returned by the selector.
Pay attention to models with two different caps depending on the trim level, such as the Honda NX 400 and NX 500 with 5-hole or 7-hole rings: count the bolts before ordering.
2520D ballistic nylon
The fabric is double-thread 2520D ballistic nylon, a weave used where abrasion resistance matters. The stated composition is 52% nylon, 37% polyurethane, and 11% EVA: the latter is the material of the shaped upper shell, which maintains its form even when the bag is full.
The sides feature high-reflectivity strips. They do not replace a high-visibility vest, but they add a luminous surface at the height of the headlights of oncoming traffic.
Everything organized inside
The lid opens onto a zippered mesh pocket for keys and documents. The main compartment holds a water bottle, gloves, and a balaclava, while the front has a dedicated external pocket for a neck warmer or power bank. The pulls on the custom SBS zippers are sized to be easy to grip while wearing winter gloves.
Rain
The bottom has a waterproof coating with rubber strips that stop water rising from the tank. For prolonged bad weather, the package includes a one-piece rain cover: it slips over the bag without elastic straps to attach at four points.
LOBOO does not state any IP rating for this bag. In a storm, the cover provides the protection, and it should be fitted before the rain starts coming down heavily.

Which one to choose from the range
All LOBOO tank bags use the same magnetic attachment on a ring: the volume and base differ. The 2.5–3.5 L BTB05 has a fixed base and can be carried as a waist bag. The 4.5–6.5 L BTB10 shares the sliding base with this model. If you want more volume but do not need expansion, the 10 L BTB12 has a fixed capacity. If you already have the ring installed, you can move any of these bags to the same motorcycle.
