The throttle stays where you leave it, while your right hand can rest. This mechanical cruise control for the Yamaha FZ1, FZ6, TDM 900 and XJR1300, in black, replaces the right handlebar end weight: as you open the throttle, tighten the ring with your little finger and the grip maintains the selected opening. No electronics, no wiring, no modifications to the motorcycle.

How it works
The knurled ring screws onto the bar end and applies friction to restrict throttle grip rotation. When tightened, it holds the throttle at the selected opening; when loosened, the grip moves freely again and closes by itself. It locks the throttle opening; it is not a speed regulator: the motorcycle slows down uphill, accelerates downhill, and does not disengage automatically when you brake. You can always open and close the throttle by hand even when the device is engaged.
What you receive and how to fit it
The package includes: Kaoko bar end with friction ring, thrust washer, and a 2 mm Allen key. Remove the original right bar end, install the Kaoko one, and adjust the ring resistance with the 2 mm key. The manufacturer's instructions can be downloaded from the product page.
All models are in the Kaoko cruise control range.

Premium upgrade on my BMW GS
I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
