The throttle stays where you leave it, and your right hand can rest. This mechanical cruise control for the Triumph Tiger 800, 800 XC and Explorer XCx with original handguards replaces the right handlebar bar-end weight: as you open the throttle, tighten the ring with your little finger and the grip maintains the selected opening. No electronics, no wiring, and no modifications to the motorcycle.

How it works
The knurled ring screws onto the bar-end weight and adds friction to the throttle grip's rotation. When tightened, it holds the throttle at the selected opening; when loosened, the grip moves freely again and closes by itself. It locks the throttle opening, not the speed: the motorcycle slows uphill, accelerates downhill, and the device does not disengage by itself when you brake. You can always open and close the throttle by hand, even when the device is engaged.
What's included and how to install it
The package includes: a Kaoko bar-end weight with friction ring, thrust washer, and 2 mm Allen key. Remove the original right bar-end weight, install the Kaoko one, and adjust the ring's resistance with the 2 mm key. The manufacturer's instructions can be downloaded from the product page.
All models are available in the Kaoko cruise control range.

Premium upgrade on my BMW GS
I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
