The throttle stays where you leave it, so your right hand can rest. This mechanical cruise control for Piaggio MP3 500, BV 350 and GTS 300 scooters replaces the right handlebar bar-end weight: while you open the throttle, tighten the ring with your little finger and the grip maintains the selected opening. No electronics, no wiring, no modifications to the motorcycle.

How it works
The knurled ring screws onto the bar-end weight and slows the rotation of the throttle grip. When tightened, it holds the throttle at the selected opening; when loosened, the grip moves freely again and closes by itself. It locks the throttle opening, not the speed: the motorcycle slows uphill, accelerates downhill, and does not disengage automatically when you brake. You can always open and close the throttle by hand, even when the device is engaged.
What you receive and how to install it
The package includes: Kaoko bar-end weight with friction ring, thrust washer, and 2 mm Allen key. Remove the original right bar-end weight, install the Kaoko one, and adjust the ring resistance with the 2 mm key. The manufacturer's instructions can be downloaded from the product page.
All models are in the Kaoko cruise control range.

Premium upgrade on my BMW GS
