Description Cruise control for Honda Africa Twin and Yamaha Ténéré 700 with Barkbusters
The throttle stays where you leave it, and your right hand can rest. This mechanical cruise control for the Honda Africa Twin and Yamaha Ténéré 700 with Barkbusters replaces the right handlebar bar-end weight: as you open the throttle, tighten the ring with your little finger and the grip maintains the selected opening. No electronics, no wiring, no modifications to the motorcycle.

Only with Barkbusters handguards installed using the BHG-062, BHG-078, or BHG-082 kits. Also compatible with Cycra handguards. If the ring rubs, add the third M8 washer to the other two. Have a different setup than those listed? Tell us the model and year before ordering.
How it works
The knurled ring screws onto the bar-end weight and restricts the throttle grip's rotation. When tightened, it holds the throttle at the selected opening; when loosened, the grip moves freely again and closes by itself. It locks the throttle opening; it is not a speed regulator: the motorcycle slows down uphill, accelerates downhill, and does not disengage automatically when you brake. You can always open and close the throttle by hand, even when the device is engaged.
What you receive and how to install it
The package includes: a Kaoko bar-end weight with friction ring, TH-TW238 and TH-TWF6B thrust washers, three M8 steel washers, and a 2 mm Allen key. Remove the original right bar-end weight, install the Kaoko one, and adjust the ring resistance with the 2 mm key. The manufacturer's instructions can be downloaded from the product page.
All models are in the Kaoko cruise control range.
