Integrated auxiliary light management using the motorcycle's original controls.

All you need to know before ordering

Technical specifications, equipment, delivery, and warranty: find every detail, verified against official LOBOO documentation, below.

Description CAN-Bus controller for BMW motorcycle auxiliary lights, dedicated cable included

The LOBOO LC081 CAN-Bus Controller for BMW lets you control auxiliary lights using the original BMW wheel, the Wonder Wheel: switching them on, adjusting brightness, and changing the color temperature, without adding a single switch to the handlebar.

Switching is synchronized with the high and low beams, while the pass switch or horn activates the warning strobe modes, available in three configurations.

Controller and cable, already included together

The controller alone is not enough: it requires the dedicated cable for the motorcycle, which varies by model. That is why every version for sale already includes both. Select the cable in the “Included cable” selector according to your motorcycle, based on the manufacturer’s list:

  • 4-pin cable — R 1200 GS and GS Adventure, R 1200 R, RT and RS, R 1250 GS and GS Adventure, R 1250 R, RT and RS, F 850 GS
  • 5-pin cable — R 1300 GS and R 1300 GS Adventure
  • 8-pin cable — F 750 GS, F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, F 900 XR, K 1600

For the 2025 F 800 GS and the F 850 GS Adventure, the manufacturer does not specify a cable: if you have one of these motorcycles, or a model not listed, contact us with the model and year before ordering.

The controller

Body made of CNC-machined aluminum alloy with IP68 protection, measuring 62 × 29.2 × 12 mm and weighing 51 g, with a 5 V operating voltage. It connects to the motorcycle’s original CAN port without cutting or modifying the standard wiring harness.

Auxiliary lights are not included: the controller is the control system and works with the LOBOO range of auxiliary lights. The manufacturer lists the L18, L16, L12T, L7, L7S, and L7-Q; the L11 manual also specifies compatibility with the L11.

Why choose it
  • No additional switches:the lights are controlled by the original BMW "Wonder Wheel".
  • Complete control:on/off, brightness adjustment, and colour temperature change.
  • CAN-Bus synchronization:high and low beam switching integrated with the original system.
  • Warning mode:three strobe modes activated by the passing button or the horn.
  • Clean handlebars:no added controls, original style integration.

Which version to choose

Each version includes the controller and the already paired cable: you just need to choose based on the motorcycle model.

  • 4-pin cable: R 1200 GS and GS Adventure, R 1250 GS and GS Adventure, K 1600
  • 5-pin cable: R 1300 GS and R 1300 GS Adventure
  • 8-pin cable: F 750 GS, F 800 GS from 2025, F 850 GS, F 900 GS and GS Adventure, F 900 XR

Spotlights are not included. The controller commands the LOBOO range of auxiliary lights: if you don't have them yet, consider the ECE approved L11 headlight.

Installation and Notes

  • Installation requires connection to the motorcycle's CAN-Bus: if you are not familiar with electrical systems, rely on a qualified technician.
  • The controller and the model-specific cable are separate items and both must be purchased.
  • Auxiliary lights are not included and must be aimed so as not to dazzle: use on public roads is subject to the rules of the Highway Code.
  • Strobe warning modes are not permitted for ordinary public road circulation.

How does it work, in detail?

The lights are controlled using the original BMW dial.

The lights are controlled using the original BMW dial.

The LC081 connects to the CAN bus and brings auxiliary light control to the original Wonder Wheel: power, brightness, and color temperature, without adding a single switch to the handlebar.

Switching is synchronized with the high and low beams, while the pass button or horn activates the warning strobe modes. Three signaling light modes are available.

The alternative is always the same: an additional switch to mount on the handlebar, with its wiring and the space it takes up. On a motorcycle already packed with accessories, it becomes the button you can never find on the first try.

The LC081 controller uses the original BMW dial instead: power, brightness, and color temperature with the controls you already know.

The right cable is already included in the package.

The controller alone is not enough: you need the cable dedicated to your motorcycle, and it varies from model to model. That’s why every version for sale already includes both.

Choose based only on your motorcycle: 4-pin for the R 1200 and R 1250 GS and F 850 GS, 5-pin for the R 1300 GS and Adventure, and 8-pin for the F 750 GS, F 900 GS, F 900 XR, and K 1600. No risk of ordering a part that won’t connect.

Synchronized with high and low beams

Synchronized with high and low beams

The auxiliary lights follow the motorcycle’s headlights: when you switch to high beam, they switch together, without you having to think about it.

It’s the difference between an accessory you manage and one that integrates seamlessly.

Three horn warning modes

Three horn warning modes

The pass button or horn activates the strobe modes, available in three configurations.

A sound and visual signal together is much more noticeable than either one alone, especially from a car with the windows closed.

Spotlights are not included.

This page concerns the control system only. The spotlights are purchased separately: the LC081 works with the LOBOO auxiliary light range.

If you are unsure which combination to order, send us the motorcycle model and year before purchasing.

FAQs

For more information, please see our FAQ.

Which version should I choose?

Each version includes the controller and the cable matched to your motorcycle: choose the cable in the “Included cable” selector. The manufacturer’s list is as follows:

  • 4-pin cable: R 1200 GS and GS Adventure, R 1200 R, RT and RS, R 1250 GS and GS Adventure, R 1250 R, RT and RS, F 850 GS
  • 5-pin cable: R 1300 GS and R 1300 GS Adventure
  • 8-pin cable: F 750 GS, F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, F 900 XR, K 1600

For the F 800 GS from 2025 onward, the F 850 GS Adventure, or a motorcycle not on the list, write to us with the model and year before ordering.

Which cable should I choose for my BMW?

It depends on the model, according to the manufacturer's list. The 4-pin LC4P081 cable fits the R 1200 GS and GS Adventure, R 1200 R, RT and RS, R 1250 GS and GS Adventure, R 1250 R, RT and RS, and F 850 GS. The 5-pin LC5P131 cable is for the R 1300 GS and R 1300 GS Adventure. The 8-pin LC8P031 cable fits the F 750 GS, F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, F 900 XR and K 1600. For the F 800 GS from 2025 onward and the F 850 GS Adventure, the manufacturer does not specify a cable: please contact us before ordering.

Is the cable included in the price of the controller?

Yes. On Endurrad, every version includes the LC081 controller and the cable dedicated to your motorcycle: select the 4-, 5-, or 8-pin cable in the “Included cable” selector, and you’ll receive both in the same order. You don’t need to purchase anything separately.

LOBOO produces the controller and cables as separate items, which is why they appear separately in some of the manufacturer’s images. If you’re unsure which cable your motorcycle needs, contact us with the model and year before purchasing.

Are additional handlebar switches needed?

No, and that is why the LC081 exists. The lights are controlled with the original BMW dial, the Wonder Wheel: switch them on, adjust the brightness, and change the color temperature without adding controls to the handlebars.

Is the product covered by a warranty?

Yes: all LOBOO products sold on Endurrad are covered by the 24-month statutory consumer warranty. In the event of a lack of conformity, we will handle the claim with the manufacturer.

Can I return the product if it isn’t suitable?

Yes, you are entitled to return the item within 14 days of delivery under online purchase regulations. The product must be intact and in its original packaging: contact us and we’ll guide you through the process.

How does shipping work?

Tracked shipping throughout Italy: the product is carefully inspected and prepared before leaving our warehouse. The mounting accessories included in the original package are included.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes: at checkout, installment payment services are available directly among the payment methods, with no additional paperwork.
