Description Universal Motorcycle Light Controller for Two Dimmable Circuits DialDim

Code DNLWHS20500 — DENALI code DNL.WHS.20500

The universal controller that operates two sets of auxiliary lights from a single illuminated dial: switching on and off, plus eight intensity levels for each circuit. The blue halo controls the first set, the green one the second, and a double click switches between them. The exact intensity is always visible on the ring, so you never have to wonder what power level you are using.

Five input wires — ignition, high beams, turn signals, and horn — unlock the automatic functions: the lights go to maximum with the high beams, switch off when you activate a turn signal so they do not obscure it, and flash at 4 Hz when you sound the horn. With Stealth mode, they stay off during normal riding and switch on at 100% only when needed.

Each circuit handles 20 A and is protected by an electronic fuse with eight settings, configurable and resettable from the switch. The ring also indicates the battery status and switches off the auxiliary lights if the voltage drops below 10.8 V.

It can be mounted on any motorcycle: the bracket fits 22 mm handlebars, while the switch can also be mounted on a flat surface, horizontally or vertically.

Why choose it

  • Fusibile elettronico regolabile e spegnimento sotto 10,8 V.
Who is it recommended for

Documents and manufacturer

How does it work, in detail?

  • A single illuminated ring to turn on, turn off, and adjust two sets of spotlights.
One dial, two light sets

One dial, two light sets

The switch’s luminous ring shows the exact intensity of both circuits, so you never have to wonder whether the lights are on or what level they’re set to. The blue ring controls the first set, and the green one the second: double-click to switch between them, and rotate to adjust across eight levels.

Five wires that unlock smart features

Five wires that unlock smart features

By connecting the input wires to the motorcycle’s circuits—ignition, high beams, turn signals, and horn—the lights begin to operate automatically: they brighten to full intensity with the high beams, turn off when you activate the turn signal so as not to obscure it, and flash at 4 Hz when you sound the horn.

Electronic fuse and battery guard

Electronic fuse and battery guard

Each circuit has an electronic fuse with eight settings, from 1 to 20 A, which is set and reset using the switch: in the event of an overload, the halo flashes red. When switched on, the halo also indicates the battery status and turns off the auxiliary lights if the voltage drops below 10.8 V.

FAQs

For more information, see our FAQ of frequently asked questions.

Which is better, the DialDim or a CANsmart controller?

It depends on the motorcycle. CANsmart reads the CAN bus and is model-specific: it controls four accessories from the original buttons, but it is available only for certain motorcycles. DialDim is universal, fits any motorcycle, and controls two sets of lights from a dedicated handlebar dial. If a CANsmart is not available for your motorcycle, DialDim is the answer.

Do I necessarily have to connect all five wires?

No. The white wire from the key is the necessary one because it activates the controller with the ignition. The other four—high beams, left turn signal, right turn signal, and horn—are only needed if you want the corresponding automatic functions: you can connect some and leave the others disconnected, or add them later.

Does it only work with DENALI spotlights?

It is designed for DENALI 3-wire lights, which connect without adapters and support dimming. With other lights, you can control switching on and off within 20 A per circuit, but intensity adjustment requires a light compatible with DataDim dimming.
