Il DialDim accende, spegne e regola due gruppi separati di luci a tre fili da un cablaggio unico. Sulla 1290, dove i faretti si montano spesso sia sul paramotore sia in alto, poterli dosare separatamente è la ragione per cui si sceglie questo controller.

The DialDim controller with wiring specifically designed for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R and S: it plugs into the motorcycle's connectors without splices and brings auxiliary light adjustment to a handlebar switch.

The knob with a multicolor light ring turns two groups of three-wire lights on and off and adjusts them independently from a single wiring harness. The ring shows the current setting.

Included in the kit: 1× universal DialDim controller (DNLWHS20500), 1× DialDim wiring harness for KTM 1290 Adventure (DNLWHS22800).

Auxiliary lights are not included: this is the control system.

Declared compatibility: KTM 1290 Super Adventure R and S 2021-2022.

Two light groups, one wiring harness

The DialDim turns two separate groups of three-wire lights on and off and adjusts their brightness from a single wiring harness. On the 1290 Super Adventure, where auxiliary lights are often mounted both on the engine guard and higher up, being able to adjust them separately is why this controller is chosen.

The switch has a multicolored illuminated ring that shows the current setting. At night, even with gloves on, you don’t have to guess where you are in the adjustment: you can see it, and you actually use the control instead of leaving it fixed.

The DNLWHS22800 wiring harness is designed for the 1290 Super Adventure connectors: no cut wires, no Posi-Taps, and no tester needed to find the high beam. The installation remains reversible.

Cosa compri. Il controller e il cablaggio dedicato alla 1290 Super Adventure. I faretti non sono compresi: questo è il sistema che li accende e li regola.

Come si comanda. Con una ghiera da montare sul manubrio, che ha un anello luminoso multicolore. Il DialDim non legge il CANbus: i faretti non rispondono ai pulsanti originali della moto.

L'alternativa, detta chiaramente. Se vuoi comandare i faretti dai comandi di serie, per questa moto esiste la centralina CANsmart DNLWHS21700. Si sceglie l'uno o l'altra, non servono entrambi.

Verifica l'annata. Il cablaggio è dichiarato per 1290 Super Adventure R e S del 2021 e 2022.

Posizione della ghiera. Scegli un punto raggiungibile col pollice senza lasciare la presa, e provalo con i guanti invernali prima di stringere.

L'impianto di illuminazione supplementare va installato e impiegato nel rispetto delle prescrizioni del codice della strada su numero, posizione e altezza dei proiettori ausiliari.

Are the spotlights included?

No. This is the control system: the DialDim and the specific wiring harness for KTM. The auxiliary lights must be selected separately, and they must have three wires with DataDim technology to use the intensity adjustment.

Does it also cover vintages after 2022?

DENALI states compatibility with the 2021 and 2022 1290 Super Adventure R and S. The official source does not provide information for later model years: write to us with your motorcycle's year, and we will verify it before you order.

What is the difference compared with a CANsmart control unit?

The CANsmart connects to the motorcycle’s bus and puts the auxiliary lights under the original controls without adding anything to the handlebar. DialDim does not read the CAN bus: it adds its own switch, but adjusts the intensity continuously and costs less. For the 1290 Adventure, the CANsmart DNLWHS21700 is also available if you prefer that route.
