Description DialDim light controller with wiring harness for Kawasaki KLR 650

Code DNLWHS22700K — DENALI code DNL.WHS.22700

The DialDim controller with wiring specifically designed for the Kawasaki KLR 650 Gen3, meaning from 2022 onward: it plugs into the motorcycle's connectors without splices and brings auxiliary light adjustment to a handlebar switch.

The knob with a multicolor light ring turns two groups of three-wire lights on and off and adjusts them independently from a single wiring harness. The KLR does not have a CANsmart control unit: this is the control system DENALI designed for this motorcycle.

Included in the kit: 1× universal DialDim controller (DNLWHS20500), 1× DialDim wiring harness for KLR 650 Gen3 (DNLWHS21900).

Auxiliary lights are not included: this is the control system.

Declared compatibility: Kawasaki KLR 650 from 2022 onward.

Why choose it

Who is it recommended for

How does it work, in detail?

  • The system planned by DENALI for the auxiliary lights on the KLR 650.
On the KLR, it's the only way

On the KLR, it's the only way

For the KLR 650, a CANsmart controller does not exist: DENALI has not developed one for this motorcycle. The DialDim with dedicated wiring is therefore the intended control system, not a cheaper fallback.

Two groups of lights, controlled separately

Two groups of lights, controlled separately

The DialDim turns on, turns off, and adjusts two separate groups of three-wire lights from a single wiring harness. On a long-distance touring bike like the KLR, that means you can keep one pair on as daytime running lights and increase the other only when the road ends.

The wiring is designed for Gen3

The wiring is designed for Gen3

The DNLWHS21900 wiring harness plugs into the connectors of the KLR 650 from 2022 onward, with no splicing and no tester. It does not work on earlier generations: the wiring system is different.

FAQs

For more information, see our FAQ of frequently asked questions.

Are the spotlights included?

No. This is the control system: the DialDim and the specific wiring harness for the KLR. The auxiliary lights must be selected separately, and they must have three wires with DataDim technology to take advantage of intensity adjustment.

Does it fit the 2008 KLR 650?

No. The included wiring is for the Gen3 generation, that is, from 2022 onward. On the KLR 650E from 2008 to 2018, the wiring system is different: in that case, the universal DialDim DNLWHS20500 with manual connection is required.

I already bought a spotlight kit with DialDim included.

Then you don't need it: the D7 PRO kits for KLR already include this same controller. This product is for those who bought the auxiliary lights separately, or already have them on their motorcycle, and want to add the control afterward.
