Description CANsmart accessory controller for Honda Africa Twin CRF1100L and NT1100

The control unit uses the Africa Twin's CANbus to control up to four accessories from the original handlebar buttons, without adding switches or loose relays under the seat. It plugs into the factory connectors: nothing needs to be cut or drilled.

Four circuits rated at 10 A continuous each, 30 A total, preconfigured for two sets of DENALI auxiliary lights, a SoundBomb horn, and the B6 brake light, all reconfigurable through the CANsmart Accessory Manager software along with dozens of other settings: flashing with the high beams, strobing with the horn, automatic shutoff with the turn signals, and an electronic fuse for each circuit.

Compatible motorcycles: Honda Africa Twin CRF1100L from 2020 to 2025, including the Adventure Sports ES and DCT versions, and the Honda NT1100 from 2025.

Not compatible with the Africa Twin CRF1000L, the previous generation: its CANbus is different.

Who is it recommended for

A chi ha un'Africa Twin CRF1100L, in qualsiasi versione compresa l'Adventure Sports ES, e vuole aggiungere più di un accessorio elettrico senza riempire la moto di relè. Vale anche per la NT1100 dal 2025.

Se hai la CRF1000L, la generazione precedente, questa centralina non è compatibile: il CANbus è diverso. E se metti solo una coppia di faretti, un cablaggio con interruttore costa molto meno.

Four accessories controlled by the Wonder Wheel

The control unit connects to the motorcycle’s CAN bus and provides four circuits for accessories. From then on, auxiliary lights, the horn, and the brake light can be switched on, switched off, and adjusted using the BMW Wonder Wheel, with no additional switches on the handlebar and no loose relays under the seat.

Is it suitable for my Honda?

Covers the Africa Twin CRF1100L from 2020 to 2025, including the Adventure Sports ES and DCT versions, and the NT1100 from 2025. It is not compatible with the Africa Twin CRF1000L, the previous generation, which does not have the same CAN bus.

What’s the difference between GEN I and GEN II?

This is the GEN II, with more available current and more settings. DENALI stopped developing new features for GEN I devices in February 2024: if you find a cheaper GEN I controller out there, be aware that it no longer receives updates.

Do you need to know how to work on the electrical system?

No. The control unit plugs into the motorcycle’s original connectors: nothing needs to be cut or drilled. The part requiring the most attention is reaching the connection point, which is located differently on each model: the official DENALI manual shows it step by step.

Can I connect non-DENALI accessories to it?

Yes. The four circuits come preconfigured for DENALI accessories, but each can be reconfigured through the software and supports 10 A continuously: you can connect a USB socket, GPS, dashcam, heated grips, or any other accessory within that limit.
