Description CANsmart accessory control unit for over 60 Harley-Davidson V-Twin models

The control unit that connects directly to your Harley’s diagnostic port and controls up to four accessories from the handlebar’s original switches. No additional relays, no cut wires, and no connectors to hunt for under the seat.

DENALI states compatibility with over 60 models: Road Glide, Street Glide, Sportster, Dyna, Softail, Touring, CVO, and Trike. The package includes both connectors for the diagnostic port—the red EURO 5 connector for 2021 and newer models, and the Deutsch connector for earlier models—so there is one kit for all generations.

Four circuits rated at 10 A continuous each, electronically fused, with dozens of settings available through the CANsmart Accessory Manager software.

If you have a Pan America, this is not the right control unit: that motorcycle has a dedicated code, DNLWHS23800.

Who is it recommended for

Four accessories controlled by the Wonder Wheel

The control unit connects to the motorcycle’s CAN bus and provides four circuits for accessories. From then on, auxiliary lights, the horn, and the brake light can be switched on, switched off, and adjusted using the BMW Wonder Wheel, with no additional switches on the handlebar and no loose relays under the seat.

It plugs into the motorcycle’s original connectors: nothing needs to be cut or drilled, and no relays need to be added. The control unit comes preconfigured for two sets of DENALI lights, a SoundBomb horn, and the B6 brake light, so in most cases it’s simply a matter of installing it and using it.

By connecting the control unit to the computer with the included micro USB cable, the CANsmart Accessory Manager software opens up dozens of settings: flashing with the high beams, strobing with the horn, automatic shutoff with the turn signals, an electronic fuse for each circuit, five-level heated clothing control, and activation only when the engine is running.

Is it suitable for my Harley?

DENALI states compatibility with more than 60 Harley-Davidson models: Road Glide, Street Glide, Sportster, Dyna, Softail, Touring, CVO, and Trike. The package includes both connectors for the diagnostic port, covering both earlier models and models from 2021 onward with the EURO 5 connector. Send us the model and year, and we’ll confirm compatibility before you order.

I already have an accessory connected to the diagnostic port: can I install it anyway?

Yes, but you need a splitter cable. The control unit connects to the motorcycle’s diagnostic port: if that port is already occupied by another accessory, such as a fuel management unit, DENALI makes a pass-through cable that lets you connect both. Ask us and we’ll point you to it.

What’s the difference between GEN I and GEN II?

This is the GEN II, with more available current and more settings. DENALI stopped developing new features for GEN I devices in February 2024: if you find a cheaper GEN I controller out there, be aware that it no longer receives updates.

Can I connect non-DENALI accessories to it?

Yes. The four circuits come preconfigured for DENALI accessories, but each can be reconfigured through the software and supports 10 A continuously: you can connect a USB socket, GPS, dashcam, heated grips, or any other accessory within that limit.

Premium upgrade on my BMW GS

I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
