Description SAE Cable for Motorcycle Battery 50 or 120 cm - Ring Terminals, 15 A Fuse

The SAE cable creates a fixed, protected power point on your motorcycle battery. The two Y-ring terminals attach to the battery posts once: from then on, the SAE connector stays within easy reach.

Connect a battery maintainer, compressor, USB outlet, or another accessory without removing the seat and without touching the terminals every time.

Which length to choose

Measure the route from the battery posts to the point where you want the connector to emerge. If it is under 50 cm, the short version is sufficient; if you need to route it around the frame or reach the other side of the motorcycle, choose the 120 cm version. The two versions are identical in every other respect.

The limit to observe

The fuse is rated at 15 A, or approximately 180 W at 12 V. It supports battery maintainers, chargers, USB outlets, and compressors. For high-draw lights or multiple devices connected in parallel, a dedicated distribution unit such as the CB10 or CB20 is required.

If you also want to check the battery charge at a glance, there is a version with a three-color LED indicator, featuring a 16 AWG conductor and a 10 A capacity.

The cable serves two purposes at once: charging the battery and drawing power for an accessory. Once installed, the SAE connector remains accessible, so you no longer need to remove anything to reach the terminals.

The two ring terminals attach to the battery terminals and stay there. The SAE connector, on the other hand, can be disconnected and reconnected by hand, without tools: plug it in and it works immediately.

It’s the difference between installing an accessory once and reconnecting it every time you charge.

The conductor is made of pure copper with an 18AWG cross-section: it carries more current and withstands repeated bending better in a cable that is moved with every connection.

The outer sheath is made of insulating PVC resistant to high temperatures and aging, designed to be positioned near the engine.

The fuse holder is inline on the red wire, watertight, with a snap-on cover that opens without tools. Inside is a blue 15 A mini blade fuse, the same type you can find at any auto parts store.

It protects against overloads and short circuits: if something downstream short-circuits, the fuse blows instead of the motorcycle's electrical system.

Both the male and female connectors have a protective cap. When closed, it keeps water out and prevents contact oxidation and short circuits: this is the basis for the IPX5 rating declared by the manufacturer.

IPX5 means protection against water jets, not immersion: the connection must not be left underwater.

The parameter sheet is shared by the two product codes in the family and lists both lengths: CSAE-19 at 50 cm and CSAE-19L at 120 cm. These are the two variants you choose above, identical in every respect except for the cable length.

What exactly is this cable used for?

Create a fixed, protected connection point on the battery with a standard SAE connector. From there, you can connect chargers, maintainers, compressors, USB outlets, or spotlights without having to remove the seat and terminals each time.

What length should I choose?

Measure the route from the battery terminals to the point where you want the connector to emerge. Under 50 cm, the short version (CSAE-19) is sufficient; if you need to route it around the frame or reach under the seat from the opposite side, choose the 120 cm version (CSAE-19L).

The two versions are identical in every other respect: the same 18 AWG copper wire, the same 15 A fuse, the same IPX5 connector, and the same manual.

Is a 15 A fuse sufficient for my accessories?

15 A at 12 V is approximately 180 W, covering chargers, maintainers, USB outlets, and compressors. For high-consumption spotlights or multiple devices in parallel, add up the specified currents: if they exceed 15 A, a dedicated distribution unit, such as the CB10 or CB20, is required.

If the fuse blows, what replacement should I buy?

A 15 A blue standard-size mini blade fuse from an auto parts store. The fuse holder opens by hand by lifting the snap-on cover, with no tools and without disconnecting the cable.

How is it mounted on the battery?

The two ring terminals fit over the battery posts beneath the original nuts, observing polarity: red to positive, black to negative. Then route the cable away from hot or moving parts and secure the connector in a protected but accessible location with the seat installed.

For the terminal tightening torque, refer to your motorcycle’s manual: LOBOO does not specify its own.

Can I leave it on the motorcycle in the rain?

Yes, it is designed to remain installed. The stated rating is IPX5, meaning protection against water jets, and it is achieved with the caps that seal the male and female ends when they are not in use. It is not an immersion rating: the connector must not be left underwater.

Does it work with chargers from other brands?

Yes. SAE is a standard, so the cable connects to any 12 V device equipped with the same interface, whether LOBOO or another brand. Just check the polarity of the device you connect and make sure its current draw stays below the fuse's 15 A rating.

Does it have certifications?

Yes. The code has CE marking, an EMC test report and a RoHS report, as well as an FCC Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) for the US market. The documentation is held by the manufacturer and is available upon request.

Is the product covered by a warranty?

Yes: all LOBOO products sold on Endurrad are covered by the 24-month statutory consumer warranty. In the event of a lack of conformity, we will handle the claim with the manufacturer.

Can I return the product if it isn’t suitable?

Yes, you are entitled to return it within 14 days of receiving the last item in the order. The product must be intact and in its original packaging: contact us and we will guide you through the process.
