Dedicated wiring harness for the Kawasaki KLR 650 from 2022 onward that picks up the brake-light signal from the motorcycle’s original connector to power an auxiliary brake light or the brake-light circuit of a control unit.

It plugs inline with the factory connector: no cutting, stripping, or tapping into any wires. Installation is fully reversible.

The stop signal without touching the cables

To power an auxiliary brake light, you need the brake signal. The alternative to this adapter is to strip the original wire and splice into it: an exposed connection that will eventually cause problems due to water and salt. This plugs inline into the connector of the KLR 650 from 2022 onward.

Montaggio e requisiti

Come si monta

Istruzioni complete e note di sicurezza

A cosa serve. Collega la luce freno ausiliaria B6 al cablaggio originale della Kawasaki KLR 650 senza derivare nulla. Nel montaggio universale si lavora invece sui tre fili del fanale posteriore, riconoscendoli con il tester e collegandoli con i Posi-Tap.

Come si collega. Si stacca il connettore originale del fanale, si inserisce il cablaggio in linea e si ricollega, poi si innesta il pigtail nel modulo B6. Nessun filo tagliato: il montaggio resta reversibile.

Se hai una centralina CANsmart, non serve. Con il CANsmart la luce freno va sul circuito giallo dedicato, ed è così che diventa intelligente: posizione, sequenze di lampeggio e attivazione in decelerazione prima ancora di toccare il freno.

Prima di richiudere. Verifica che i cavi abbiano gioco con il codone rimontato e a sospensioni compresse.

Do I need it if I already have a CANsmart controller?

The control unit has its own wiring for the brake light, but on many motorcycles you still need the specific adapter to connect to the stock connector without modifications. It depends on the model: tell us the motorcycle and year, and we’ll let you know if you need it.
