Il controller DialDim arriva con un cablaggio universale da collegare a derivazione sui fili della moto: funziona, ma va cercato il filo giusto e bucato l'isolante. Questo adattatore lo sostituisce e si innesta in linea sui connettori originali di faro, clacson e frecce della DesertX. Installazione più rapida, pulita e reversibile.

Wiring adapter that connects the DialDim controller to the Ducati DesertX without splicing: it plugs inline into the original headlight, horn, and turn signal connectors.

It replaces the universal Posi-Tap wiring harness included with the DialDim, which requires finding the correct wire and piercing its insulation. With this adapter, installation is faster, cleaner, and fully reversible.

For use only with the DialDim controller: CANsmart controllers are already vehicle-specific and have their own wiring harness.

The DialDim comes with a universal Posi-Tap wiring harness: you have to find the right wire among dozens, pierce its insulation, and hope you got it right. This adapter instead plugs into the DesertX’s original connectors.

The alternative is the CANsmart

For the DesertX, there is also the CANsmart DNLWHS24800 control unit, which places the auxiliary lights under the original controls. This wiring harness is only needed if you chose DialDim: the control units already have their own.

Come si monta

Istruzioni complete e note di sicurezza

A cosa serve. Sostituisce i cablaggi a derivazione con posi-tap del kit DialDim universale: invece di cercare e forare i fili, si collega in linea a quattro connettori originali della DesertX — faro, freccia destra, freccia sinistra e clacson — e da lì il controller prende tutti i segnali.

Dove sono i quattro connettori. Faro e frecce stanno tutti in una cavità sul lato anteriore del cruscotto, e per raggiungerli si toglie il cupolino. Il connettore del faro è sul retro del proiettore, nero a 6 poli; quelli delle frecce gli stanno accanto, bianchi a 2 poli e marcati «L» e «R». Il clacson è al centro della moto sopra il radiatore, con il filo rosso.

Come si collega. Ogni pass-through si innesta in linea fra i due connettori originali: si stacca il connettore della moto, si inserisce il pass-through e si ricollega. Nessun filo tagliato, nessun posi-tap.

Prima di richiudere. Gira il manubrio a fondo corsa da entrambi i lati e comprimi la forcella prima di rimontare il cupolino: nessun cavo deve andare in tiro.
